I just found the perfect label for reiginko: Avatara, after that stupid joke he keeps making.

What, I've made that joke at the most 5 times. Ever. And two of those times were at the old new b.net, and one of them was to a guy none of you have ever met. So that's a total of twice on these forums ever. And I think it's a good joke. :)

Same here. I may look like a n00b, but I'm not. I knew about this place for a lot longer than my member since date. I never knew that there was a membership thing.

With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

Even though I'd like it to be that way, I'm not sure if it'd be right to give only select people special titles... "Lesser" people would get jealous and demand equality...

But I say to them, equality doesn't exist (unfortunate, I know... but that's the way it is)...

*Snicker*

.... Crap, I'm starting to sound like you, Barron...

Eh, it would be cool to have them, and I kind of like the idea of calling Baron, Master BS and Sketch "nuclear disaster" (for those of you who read that little story of mine you'd know).

Though I'm sure it'd have to be implemented kind of tactfully so people did not feel like Bungie was playing favorites because a lot of people contribute to this community and just don't get the same recognition.

They should only give titles to people who consistently write intelligent and informative posts. That way it gives incentive to people not to spam.

Sure, there's inequality there. But that inequality could motivate people to behave better in forums.

Yeah, the Septagon is the most unspammed forum. People don't post here as often as in New Mombasa or the Flood, but when they do, it's nearly always a good quality post.

I tend to think that the Flood is in better shape than New Mambasa. At least at the Flood people can stay on topic in non-topic posts. Over at New Mambasa it's like the attack of the repeated topics.

It looks like we've actually exhausted all possible Halo 2 topics. The only things worth reading there anymore are the theories (sometimes for laughs, and occaisionally because they're well thought out and convincing).

In any other board, Maka would've released a flood of Zero Wing quotes upon this thread.

Because his username is somewhat tied in with it, this should be MakaVeli4Life1's :

The Prince

I think that's rather fitting for a Mod by the name of Makaveli (even though his name wasn't directly derived from Machiaveli).

Quoting from The Prince; "It is better to be feared than loved."

Fits, don't it?

-- Steve knows that it's badly out of context. The actual quote states that it's best to be both, but if you have to opt for only one go for fear. Niccolo made a good argument for it too.. *shudder*

[edited to fix spelling of NM's name. *sigh*]

I'm going to have to read that book... I've only read a rather big excerpt (as far as excerpts usually go) from it (3 textbook-size pages)... and that was years ago.

Pessimistic and morbid it may be,
But it still interests me.
