Everyone says T & R on Legendary.

Even though I beat it twice with only a sniper rifle and a plasma pistol, my sniping skills are still not perfect..

The Truth and Reconciliation on Legendary co-op. Have one person go in first and stir up the Covies so they actually move around... then you can practice sniping as it would be on Xbox Live.

Yeah only problem is, sniping on xbox connect will be bad for your halo 2 game. Because of the Lag causes you to lead people much more than normal., But T&R With the coop stratagy. Or get a rubber band and have people running in crazy cicle in mp and just keep pickin them off.

Ignore Skorpion, he's merely jealous!
Personally I wouldn't reccomend any Campaign levels to improve your sniping on, the Covenant move in a way that is far to predictable.
The elastic band tactic however is a good one as it gets you used to tracking a moving target, however it doesn't help you if somebody knows your around, as that person will strafe and just not stop moving in different directions! The only real way to improve at this is to actually play Deathmatches (LAN or otherwise) and shoot people up!

Go into Multiplayer, 2 players (but only you really) on any level that is good for sniping (might be best to set weapons to snipers only so there's plenty of ammo).

Take player 2's control and put some elastic bands over the thumbsticks so it pulls the player in a direction. Then everytime the player respawns you have a moving target to pick on. If the player isn't in view (spawns inside a base etc.) then simply pick up the other control and bring him out into the open.

This is a surprisingly good tactic, I thought it ws quite bad at first but after trying it I realised it was a lot better than campaign levels with the Covenant. It is good, but NOT a substitute for real life players.
