i hate tking, and agree that voting is better:  60%

quit whining and deal with the tkers:  0%

only if it would work better than auto-ban:  40%

Whenever I use the "vsync" framerate option, the movement of other players, vehicles, and ur own hands seem more jerky. Looking around is at a higher framerate though. Anyone know why?

Vsync is when your video card waits for your moniter to finish displaying the last frame before it renders the next one. If you don't have it one then you may have tearing, where one frame starts to be displayed before the one before it is finished being displayed.

stick to 30 fps. It's the most consistant setting, and you will encounter less problems. However, If you're determined to use it, I can't do much about that.

Also, A vote-ban system could be easily abused. And anyway, what does it have to do with this thread?

If you go with 30 fps it doesn't stop you from getting less so it only matters if you get tearing really. You will only notice a difference if your card can't get atleast 27fps consistantly.

i put that poll on this thread because i have my own clan dedicated for ppl that hate tkers. My clan website is www.freewebs.com/nickstarner if u wanna join. Other than that, it doesn't have much to do with this thread.

Nobody explained vsync...

VSYNC forces the graphics card to stay at the monitor refresh rate, usually about 60Hz. Well, even if you are under that, that extra load of checking to make sure there are less than 60fps is taxing on your system, and if you don't have a very fast one, you will see jerky movement and not get a smooth picture.

My advice is to leave it off, since it does take up a fair amount of CPU/GPU power, which you don't want to sacrifice in all but the highest systems.

i'm not sure that's what i am talking about. Looking around and zooming in, are smooth and non-jerky. Object, players hands, vehicles, other players, ect. are the only things that are jerky and seem to be at a low fps compared to the fps of looking around, moving, and zooming in.
