I was talking to someone and they called Halo 2 a BRfest. That's a cheap shot. How do you guys feel about that?

ROTATION! ohhhhhhh

It's true. The BR was much more powerful and user-friendly in Halo 2 than it is now in Halo 3- and that's not to mention all of the button combos you can pull off with it that'll kill you in under a second.

So, yeah, Halo 2 is a BRfest.

Precisely. Contrary to popular belief, the BR in Halo 3 actually takes--dare I say it--skill to use in Halo 3. The animation cancelling glitches like BXR, BXB, and whatnot where NOT so hard to pull off. Especially with the advent of the turbo controller. Add to that the complete lack of bulletspread, the hitscan physics, and the insane auto-aim, and it's a no-brainer.

When I made the switch from Halo 2 to Halo 3 on one certain September evening, i was amazed at just how much harder it was to use the new BR compared to Halo 2.

It's harder only because they dummied it down. They wanted to even it out so even 7 year olds could win.

The only reason the BR in H2 was dominant was because of the skill of the players who used the BR most effectively. After all, everybody had one, some just couldn't use it with skill. Only the slack-jawed cried foul.

It was the same with the pistol in H1.

Sure the shots register so you actually kill people in 4 shots, but the opponent can kill you in 4 shots as well. It is not "easier" for one side because both sides have their shots register.

A BR fight in Halo 3 and one in Halo 2 should not even be compared, they are very different. Halo 2 is about agility and dodging shots, while Halo 3 is somewhat about dodging shots, but mostly (and sadly) random/host.

Can you believe it?

It's true, when you have a BR you don't usually need any other weapons. That's why the BR is the most used/most popular weapon in the game.

Ahh, the Halo 2 BR...
So powerful, so many glitches, no need for other weapons.

It was changed in Halo 3 for the sake of balance, not so less skilled players can win.
If you really are skilled, you can still win BR fights the majority of the time in Halo 3.

Precisely. Frankly, the retards who gripe about the Halo 3 BR have no idea what they're talking about, and are just annoyed that the BR in Halo 3 isn't as easy to use as it's Halo 2 counterpart.

The BR is harder to use in Halo 3. not easier. Fact.

You don't know what a fact is, you only know your own opinion. In H3, the BR is a weapon for noobs, which means for the majority of players it's easier to use.

I heard that Canada does not have an army.

You good sir, are wrong. We have the best military in the world besides Ethiopia. How can you stop an army of mad lumberjacks on a bunch of moose? That's right. You CAN'T.

Does it really matter?
