I hate everything, but it's not my fault.

Wow, a useful and informative post in the Underground. I haven't seen that since the old B.net. But maybe I'm the only one who hasn't heard of it

MSXL: The Last Honest Chapter

Heh, no flaming gonna happen here, but that "trick" has been around for a loooong time. I don't know how I could play Halo without it!

The War will wage forever; though with it's fury comes a peace that you will never know here.

The trick of jumping and then crouching before you hit the ground works well in single player, too. It works in the last area of AOTCR, for getting of the natural rock bridge.

The idea is getting into a crouch RIGHT when you hit the ground. Failure to do so has some... dire consequences.

Hey evrybody,

I have been a bystander in the halo community for some time, and have never seen this trick/physics manipulation before. My buddy and I have been playing Halo hardcore ever since it's release. A little while ago we discovered a way to fall/jump from very high up and survive when you should have died. We call it "the ninj"(as in ninja). To pull off the manuver, while you land a jump, TAP the crouch button. If you do this successfully, you should walk away with less damage, however if you dont do the trick right you die.(we call this "broken ankle") the best place to try the trick is in the multiplayer map, "damnation". Go to where the teleporter is at the top of the level and jump form there to the platform below, then do it again tapping the crouch button as you land. The trick is pretty hard to do(it took me a long time to master) but expands the possibilities of a master Halo players game.

Hope this is a new insight and I'm not just some dumbass telling everyone about somthing that has been posted millions of times.

good luck,

Solar
