I've made a few edits to some of Bungie's amazing Halo 3: ODST concept art.

Here's what I came up with:

One - V2

Two

Post your opinions =D

PS. I just started using PhotoShop so be gentle!

Not too bad. I'm not all that familiar with the original work but I guess it's mostly blurring and some lighting adjustments you've made, correct? I would just say to be a bit wary of the blur tool; like most things, it can be effective in small doses but try not to get too carried away. Also, try to think about where objects are in the scene when blurring and pay attention to what objects would actually be blurred if one was focusing on the point/area you've designated.

Prophet has a point about the blur tool. By blurring out too much of the full picture, it restricts the veiwers freedom to look at the picture. Trying to create a focal point in an image is important, however forcing the veiwer to do that isn't good. Tone back on the blur and try to build some variety into the image by using different effects.

Sort of too blurry. I'm no expert when it comes to this stuff so I can't give you tips like the people before me but I'm saying.

The first one was my favorite though.

I tried again, removed most of the blur and added more focus to the key elements. Better or worse, you tell me =D

Nice work. The second attempt is much better. Just make sure that you don't make the colours too strong.

Thanks for the constructive advice, the reds are a bit intense. I might tone that down a bit!
