It's like a b-52 (<oops, my mistake, Boeing) modified with a laser on the nose which can shoot down missles as they launch.

Actually, in the article in mentions a A/C-130 Gunship (whatever that is).

The phantom is destructible, its just huge, so it takes a long time. Why would he have been shooting at it if it didnt damage it?

The A/C-130 is a modified C-130 Hercules Cargo aircraft.

the A in A/C stands for ATTACK while the C stands for CARGO. It can perform attacks and cargo transports. It has 2 large mounted .50 cal gattling guns on the left of the fuselage and can dessimate a target area the size of a football field in seconds. I was not aware that it could shoot down airborne missiles.

actually im posting to tell you your wrong. The plane that has the capability to shot down missles is a converted boeing and it uses a laser to find aim and destroy the target its entire back half is filled with chemical reactors to produce said laser

Actually, it is kinda funny, because in the article, it continuosly says that they will use a C-130, but it has pictures of the Boeing. I also saw this program which talked about a Boeing so don't ask me about the modified C-130...

Once again proof... (this leads directly to the article, scroll down and look for "Lasers that blast from the air"):

Kamizar, I was aware of teh Boeing 707 they use.
The idea was started back in the Cuban Missile Crisis.
It was called the "Star Wars" project, aimed to shoot down any nuclear weapon before it found its target. The Boeing would fly at about 80,000 feet agl in thin atmosphere.

Kamizar ,stop trying to prove something, your just proving to me that you're dense.
