Ever read Halo: The Fall of Reach? It's a lot like how Spartans are chosen.

Well then you wouldnt understand. Lots of factors go into the process. Probably things like likeability, maturity, devotion and loyalty to Bungie.NET and other factors.

  • 04.22.2005 12:54 PM PDT

Well that's another thing you might want to consider. Bungie.net mods are normally familiar with Bungie history and lore.

Mostly people are chosen to become Bungie.net moderators because they are trusted by both Bungie and the mod squad on Bungie.net.

read the halo books asap (not the flood that will just mess you up) and they keep saying something about taking the path and eating it....i dont really understand what they mean by that also from what I remember you cant be a asshat. and be able to think of witty comebacks in a few hours that are not only funny and intelligent but argue your point as well....or you can be like goweb (jk).

does anyone know if the path comes with dipping sauce?

didnt nosferatu(sp?) recently get promoted recently? i wonder what kind of resources you could access....

Grim, will you ever make a normal post?

If you've never read The Fall of Reach, there's no way you'd be able to become a moderator. Not only do they gorge themselves with bungie material, they are dedicated members of the community. They are on every day and are on at least an hour, if not more.

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

First off, we have a new mod we should all recognize - if you haven't already. And how would you get "special privelages" (i.e. becoming a moderator)anywhere else? You have to help around Bnet, and you have to be looked upon as a good person by the staff and moderators. You can't just "ask"

There was a thread congratulating me on becoming a mod about 2 weeks ago , so I think most people know.

eat the path

Find the right way down through the maze, to the food, then find the exit. Push the exit button. If the food tastes awful, don't eat it, go back and try another way.

They want the same thing that you do, really, they want a path, just like you. You are in a maze in a maze, but which one counts? Your maze, their maze, my maze. Or are the mazes all the same, defined by the limits of their paths?

Existence is simple: find the food, push the button, hit the treadmill.

But sometimes it gets much harder. Sometimes the food makes you sick, or you can hear nearby feet racing you, urging you on. Sometimes the button only gets you landed right back in the beginning of the maze again, and the food won't satisfy.

There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path.

Cross over the cell bars, find a new maze, make the maze from it's path, find the cell bars, cross over the bars, find a maze, make the maze from its path, eat the food, eat the path.

Next time on Existentialism with Shishka he rebukes nihilism while at the same time suggesting an utterly meaningless existence marred by dark depressive mood swings and an utter lack of KY.

You are chosen, you dont ask to be a mod. (well, in nearly all cases)

Be a good and helpful member of bnet for long enough, and you might be chosen.

No no, I'm pretty sure you ask. It costs $15 Dollars a month though and you have to pay for atleast 5 months first before you can ask.
