I still don't get it. The story changed from rescuing Master Chief to being on Onyx to the Flood attacking Sanghelios. Can someone please explain the story to me? It all seems very...mixed, and never-ending

Beginning - John is rescued from Sanghelios.

Middle - John rescues Spartans from Onyx, Flood attack Sanghelios, races begin to finally unite.

End - Conflict at Sanghelios.

What's not to get?

And yes, there are long periods of times between posts. Contrary to popular belief, they don't just magically appear in a word document. I have to write them.

As for the Arbiter killing the usurping Kaidon, if I remember right I was basically trying to show how John and Thel had formed a close friendship and looked out for each other.

AL is preventing me from having fun. It is also preventing a lot of people from having fun. People who defend AL say they can live without it. It is obviously unfair in many ways.

SO WHY DON'T WE REMOVE/TWEAK IT?

Also, yes, I do goose.

I think any other fanfic writer knows this.

Can't wait for last chapter and Epilogue!

As awesome as your story is wolves and how much I wish it could be canon it breaks current canon.

When I started Insurrection it didn't. It's only recently that 343 has begun to release a few things which contradict it. Just ignore it, most of it is crap anyway.

  • 08.12.2010 10:05 AM PDT

The Razor.

For the honour of the Mirratord.

Technically it doesn't break canon, because it was never canon to begin with.

  • 08.12.2010 12:06 PM PDT

343 went ahead and deliberately made this FF break canon. At the time, it might not have broken cannon but it was still absolutely -blam!- stupid, Johnson should STAY dead.

Wait until the epilogue, I laughed vastly at the ridiculousness of a certain part of it.

Actually the beginning does. As soon as humans find out mc is alive.

But it is a great read.

As I said, it didn't contradict canon when I started. The fact that it now slightly does is out of my control.

You expecting him to answer that? :P

He made a parody thread and got banned for it, I'll find out how long it is for, I am pretty sure it is simply a 3-7 day ban and not much to worry about.

Good job wolvers, good job.

Sooooo... I see you were careful not to get banned because that would mean your whole story would temporarily disappear. :P

Feel free to join my group, the Vault of Lore

Great. I think about this story the whole two weeks of my holidays, looking forward to coming back to reading the end, then I come back and it's not there. Great job getting banned Wolvers.

Why do the Forum Ninjas not go ban the -blam!- fans in the reach forum or the ranters in the reach forum? Why are they even here in the gallery?? They should know that wolvers is 99%innocent, and still he gets banned every time something small happens...

Honor Light Your Way, Our Blood Shall Forge A Thousand Generations!.

That last chapter freaking sucked.

Just kidding, good stuff. And I mean this literally... Cool story, bro!

No, fan fictions are 'literacy', not 'literally'.

They were not snooping around in here. Rather, Wolvers posted a parody thread in the Reach forum, and the plebeians, whining, probably spammed the report button, taking the new forum rules too far.

Seriously though, the Moderators screwed up. Rather than ban the "Halo Reach is simply not Halo: Whine, whine, whine", they banned Wolvers without checking his post history. If they had they would have realised it was not a malicious post.

Anton, you got it backwards.

Wolvers nearly got the ban overturned until the ninja (undisclosed) saw Wolvers' atrocious ban/warning history.

How long did he get banned for?

If it's a month, I shall scream indefinitely.

lol?

I would never have guessed Wolvers had such a thing. It sounds like it is a lengthy one then from the word atrocious, oh well.

Ah, no, it isn't that bad, it was me putting him in his place, a friendly kick while he's down. He is banned for a week and 3 or 4 of those days have already passed, and as of yet, he is still not done with the Epilogue, which should be up around the same time as his ban is lifted, more news on that front, he is deciding to split the epilogue up into lots of smaller bits, which makes sense when one sees the raw immense size of it.

Which is silly because epilogues are supposed to be a short way to give the story a small bit of extra closure. :P
