Yes!

And to reply to your comment Angas, that's not the Epilogue in its entirety. Just a small teaser of what is to come. I assure you, the conclusion to Insurrection will be rich and hopefully satisfying.

The Razor.

For the honour of the Mirratord.

His Epilogue is going to be more like twelve chapters put together. And no, that is NOT an exaggeration.

The next part will be released as soon as I decide how much of what I've written so far to put in it.

How about releasing all of it? plz?

It would take him another 6 years to rap it all off, and a further year for me to Steadit all 4,500 pages. Ok, moderate exaggeration there, but the point remains. It would be easier and better for you, the reader to get snippets of it here and there.

Once we have done a particular part of it and I have Steadited it, he will post it.

AL is preventing me from having fun. It is also preventing a lot of people from having fun. People who defend AL say they can live without it. It is obviously unfair in many ways.

SO WHY DON'T WE REMOVE/TWEAK IT?

Also, yes, I do goose.

Nice chapter!...part...1...thingy...

Nice!

We should know better, because we are better.

The longer it's taking, the more I believe that the epilogue is actually a cover-up for a full sequel novel...
MORE EPIC_LOGS NOA!
You're confusing Wolverfrog with ONI.
Btw great part one.

Pfft. At 60 pages (15 forum posts, approximately), it might as well be a small sequel. But it's not one. I'm sorry it's taking so long, but that's how it is. It's being written, and it's nearly at a close.

Thanks for your patience if you're still waiting.

At what point was it too late to just make the Epilogue a few extra chapters, then an Epilogue? ;)

That is quite impressive. The whole of Insurrection must be like, the size of an existing Halo novel by now. 50-odd chapters each with 2 full posts or more, plus the epilogue.

That's fine, mate. I know this is taking a while, and I get that some people will become disinterested with it. It's a bit of a shame, but the primary reason I write this is to improve my writing skills and as an interesting hobby. I'm not paid to write it remember, and everything I do write is in the sparse free time I have. But I do my best, always. Indeed, I think the fact that I've written 300 pages of this is testimony enough to how dedicated I am to it. Ending it simply might have been easier, but I wouldn't have been satisfied with it.

That's why I've gone all-out on a huge, very conclusive epilogue. There are still many loose ends. The Flood may have been disabled, but Offensive Bias is still very much a threat. Will John and the rest of the battered strike team make it back in one piece? And what will the state of the galaxy be after it is all over?

There's just too much to end with a simple two page epilogue like I did with Memoirs.

TBH, the ending where the Didact slipped on the bananna peel was the best thing you could have ever done. I'm glad I convinced you to do it, Evil and I were absolutely gagging with laughter over it.
