The campaign is really fun and I like to follow the Halo storyline. But on the mission "Assault on the control room", It plays fine but after awhile it stops making checkpoints and I have to start over to the last checkpoint, which was saved a long time ago. Can someone help me?

I didn't download a map, I'm talking about the level in campaign.

when you start the game it doesn't prompt you to continue in safe mode right?

if it does then your computer doesn't live up to the game's requirements.

If not then: is the disk scratched? have updated the game to the latest update: v1.08?

  • 03.12.2009 3:18 PM PDT

Well I can run the game with almost everything high, I don't see why that would be a problem.

I already have the update because I can run the game without the disk. Maybe I need to re-install the game?

you won't need to use the disk anymore except when you want to install the game. It is an official update.

do you have any viruses? or yes first try uninstalling then reinstalling because a file might've been deleted or misplaced...do that.

No viruses as far as I know. I'll try re-installing the game. Is there a way to save your save data before uninstalling?

the uninstaller gives you the option......you'll see or you could just back it up on a disk

  • 03.12.2009 3:31 PM PDT

Ok, I'll try reinstalling. Thanks for the help.

"Hey crap faces, I found a bag of fireworks in the mens bathroom! Would you like to light them off?"

Huh. so your problem is with Halo 1 Pc, is that when you reach a certain point in the game, at a checkpoint, it resets you at a checkpoint farther back? am i reading this right?

Oh! Just got it! haha... sorry.
That is weird... in the next mission, do you get the checkpoints back? as in when you start 343 Guilty Spark, can you save to those checkpoints through out that mission?
I'm sorry to hear about this. Really weird occurance. can't say that i have this problem.

Kindly refrain from Frog-Blasting my Ventcore.

Do you got through the level normally (Drive where you are supposed to drive, walk where you *technically* can't fit a vehicle, take all of the main paths, etc), or do you steal the banshees, squeeze you warthog through cracks, and just fly your way to the top of the control room? I find that when I do it the second way, I often have trouble with checkpoints, and usually have to get out of my banshee, walk up the path a ways, and then get the checkpoint.
