it appears you have fallen into a sarchasm...
its the gap between someone making a sarcastic comment, and you picking up on that sarcasm...

What operating system are you using? You should be able to right-click the icon and select "Run as Administrator" There may also be a check box somewhere in the Properties for Run as Adminstrator.

Do you have Vista or XP?

If XP you should: right click on the Halo shortcut and select "Run as"
If you are not the adminstrater then you should go into the control panel-User Acounts and click "Create new account." type a name than select administrator. Then go on from there.

It should be pretty self explanitrory. But if you have Vista I'm not exactly sure but you should maybe try going to microsoft.com and searching: how to run program as administrator.

All I ask is that you don't try to capture me.

I had the same problem on my Vista PC; the fix is pretty easy. Make a shortcut to Halo PC, then right-click and select "run as administrator." Now run Halo from the shortcut and you should be able to update the game and play, no problem.
