Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

I know I'm going to get flamed for this...
Occasionally, I see websites sing praises for Bungie for how well they treat their community, and I just have to laugh a little bit. Sure, Halo 3 is awesome, and features here with our stats and screenshots are great--in fact that sort of thing is outstanding compared to what other game companies offer.
But it seems to me that the constant sarcasm in the weekly updates and Bungie's ridiculous stance on providing details of future updates, DLC, and future titles flies right in the face of this supposed great respect they have for us. I understand that marketing plays into this, but some of this just seems like a slap in the face for the sake of, well, slapping us in the face.
I'm sorry, but I'm very disappointed in this sales ploy with the Mythic Map pack. Putting it in the special edition of Halo Wars to squeeze out a few extra dollars in sales, and then being tight-lipped about when it will actually hit the Market Place as a stand-alone download is underhanded, greedy, and just plain disrespectful to all the people who have supported Bungie with game and DLC sales. I'm sure some of you will disagree, and any Bungie employees who read this are no doubt ready to fire back with some snarky response, but I don't think I'm being too unreasonable here. This kind of thing really makes me think twice about whether I want to buy the next DLC or game that Bungie releases. Just my two cents.
I can understand why you would be upset with bungie for trying to milk the dollars from your wallet with some clever marketing ploy like this, but the fact of the matter is Bungie didnt make Halo Wars. Ensemble Studios did. More than likely Bungie didnt even have a choice in whether those maps got released with the LCE or not. In all reality it was up to the marketing department from microsoft. Maybe next time you can do a little research before you go posting wild accusations and make decisions about whether your going to support a particular developer by purchasing their product.
