I used to post to this forum a lot. And when I went to e3 and fanfest and played halo 2 I tried to post and help out by giving some information, but was kicked and punched and called a liar. And swore I wouldnt come back- but i couldnt help it. Now reading again some of the posts, some poeple are retarded and just waste time, bungie must be sick of stupid-dirt dumb ideas. For example at fanfest I heard some moron say master cheif should have a wings. WFT if that, wings? is he on the rag?
Here are some ideas that have merit and could actually improve on the game: please read and use them as an example- no wait- a measure of the level your ideas should be on...
1) Halo 2 should have 4 player co-op. (If you read the halo books youll understand) Each of the spartans should be different since there are 4 spartans returning to earth, ie. kelly is fastest she runs a little quicker, or linda the sniper has less recoil. fredd is stronger maybe he can carry one more gun, etc... that way there is a cool experience for all co-opers and adds to the replay value.
2) MP: Remember the movie starship troopers? There should be a fort map where there are say 4 spartans defending and 12 attackers. The attackers could be weaker grunts with lots o lives and the spartans have say only one. That would be some intense battles.
3) more freedom on mp: I want teamslayer with more than 50 kills maybe i can go to 250.
4)in the single player campaign there should be more freedom in the difficulty selection. For example some days i want to kill those covie bastards really bad so I would chose easy- then have the opportunity to select how many of them from light amount to pour it on. That would be great with co-op cause you can pick easier modes and still have a ton of enemies.

Anyways these are some of my ideas...
One last thing: i just wanted to share that when I played halo 2 at fanfest there were 10 people playing. No biggie right? well there were 10 tvs and 10 xboxes with one persone per screen. Im still wondering why people or magazines havent mentioned anything about it yet? can you imagine co-op on 2 seperate tvs? or 4 tvs if they read this?

I have an idea.. It's not as good as wings, or any of yours, but doube.u.tee.eff, I'll post it anyways..

It's basically a team grinder mode, or a side by side onslaught mode, that is to be played in large, open maps, for massive battles against AI and other human opponents on Xbox Live.

I'm just going to make up stuff as I go along..

Okay, we have a large map.. Hell, let's just use Blood Gulch as an example - Two teams of Spartans - Red vs. Blue. Covenant (bots) vs. Spartans

One continuous static AI/BOT spawn in the center of the map. It's a gravity lift spawn similar to the one on Truth and Reconciliation.

The other BOT spawn points vary similar to the hills in a king of the Hill match. These would be both visual gravity lift spawn points and the Elite pods that drop down from the Covenant ship that's hovering above the multiplayer map.

The object is to kill or be killed, and score higher than the other team.. I have not determined what ends the round, cause I'm just making -blam!- up as I go along.

It's starting to sound like ffa with bots.

Okay, we'll give each character a different count in the points meter. This game will be about scoring higher in a points column, rather than a kill count. Some character kills will be worth more than others. Invisi Elites, Elites, Brutes, and Hunters would be worth some nice kill points.. The other team - The enemy Spartan crew would be worth some good points. And the enemies lower in the food chain would be cannon fodder (but they'd have some very deadly weapons that would make it worth taking them out), but they'd still be worth some points. Also, if you were killed by the hands of a Grunt, it would be like minus 5 points or something. See, now those little pissers are worth taking out, even though they only net your team +1, or something.

Maybe there's a control point somewhere in this map that will unleash the flood at your opponents. The flood will kill your opponents and steal their kills if they don't react quickly enough. Or maybe not..

I think this idea sucks, but if tweaked properly, it could work..

Okay, here's an ending.. There's a bar that fills up, similar to a shield meter, as you gain points - It goes up as you earn points, and down as you lose them..

Once the bar is fully filled, a gravity lift the color of your team colors will spwan down from the Covenant cruiser hovering above the map.. Your entire team must make it to this location to beam up to the Covenant cruiser.

The gravity lift will dissapear if your team loses points somehow before you all make it to the gravity lift.. And you all must try again.

If you make it witout losing points, and the points meter stays full, then you've completed the mission and have access to a top down view of your opponents.. Your team now has access to a button that glasses the entire multiplayer map.

You could also do a similar game with Humans vs. Covenant, rather than two teams of Spartans vs. Spartans.

While i agree with you on quite a few things, there just seems to be a lot of inconsistancies with the point you're trying to get across. The old duel plasma sword, plasma sword/jackal shield/ plasma sword grappling features that everyone wants to see just wouldn't work. It's all beat to death too but people really aren't thinking through what they're suggesting. I see the jackal shield post at least once a weak, and every time it comes up, all i can think of is, so it's like an overshield... an overshield that limits which weapons you can use... righttttt.
It should be ovious to just about everyone short of any official bungie contests, bungie isn't going to take any originial ideas of anyones off the forum and put it into their game. Doesn't matter how many reccomendations, or valid points you bring up. But what urks me most about your thread is that you honestly believe your ideas have merit..

idea number 1 - heyy let's rip off team fortress/brute force/lets change the game completely for the co-op mode.

idea number 2 - heyy let's rip off a well known, low quality movie not only that, but let's transform it into an unbelieveabley boring gametype for 12 out of the 16 players. Run get shot, run in get shot, Oh i spawned with the plasma pistol again, man this sucks. Oh anohter head shot.

idea number 3 - definately not an original - join the club

idea number 4 - i want to play the game on easy... but i want it to be harder!?! If you want mindlessly easy and boring fighting, just keep replaying the lybrairy on the easiest difficultly.

go fully mad at him, i like the fourth idea, after you beat the level on that difficulty, you have a little bar slider that piles on more, or less enemies, it would solve the "make legendary harder" problem, while solving the "i want a difficulty between heroic, and Legendary!!" problem...

i got a question for u mate.
when u r duel weilding right, then u swap to ur 3rd weapon. do ya lose the left hand gun or do you keep it so when u swap back u get it?

you drop it. You can't hold 3 weapons at once while still being able to cycle through your weapons. so for example, tapping "Y" button while duel wielding would drop a weapon and switch to the backpacked weapon.

People ask for higher level difficulty because most games play out in a pre scripted way, enemy locations remain the same, when you get to this part of the bridge more guys come out behind you to cut off your retreat. It becomes predictable. When you ask yourself would you rather have more enemies, giving the enemies strong shields or more health, or giving them a more dynamic AI insuring that gameplay isn't the same every time you play. Which would you really choose?

I agree with the amount of crud that is continuously recylcled by dimwit's in here.

Also, I really, really, really like you idea about the multiplayer bots that drop down through the grav-lifts and in the covenant drop pods. bravo dude - it would be totally insane to just go mental with 3 mates and whipe covie scum from existence like that.

I just hope that bungie realeases some more video's or more covie secrets, just so that the people who 1) are up to date with the halo world info 2) have read the books, or at least read the info about things halo 2 3) just dying for some more info for great theories , get some material to have some good discussions about and to stop all these gits mindlessly posting idiodic statements like,

" no powerups"
or
"there is only one spartan left"

etc etc.

Are you on the rag? Should I be coming DOWN to your level? What makes you think your ideas are so hot?

1.) Worst Idea ever. To simplify, The xbox supports a limited number of enemies on screen at a time. Doubling the number of players (from 2 to 4) cuts in half the maximum number of enemies in the game. I'm sorry, I want my big battles. Alternatively, you could try hosting a co-op game on a LAN to save on Polygons... but then you have a multiplayer with well over a hundred players since every enemy's actions have to be broadcast too! Damn.

I want my big battles... so NO!

2.) As the person previous to me said, I'm not playing the peon that gets his arse handed to him every few seconds.

3.) This is rather obvious and Bungie's already said that MP is going to be more controllable and with more game types.

4.) This alone isn't a bad idea. Being able to alter the number of enemies in addition to the difficulty? Interesting, but then Bungie would have to go back and add in new spawn points and new AI pathways. I think I'd rather have them working on something else.

well explain this. why in the halo2 sp trailer did the MC have dw smgs the nswitch to the battle rifle then back to dw smgs?

They changed dual wielding a few weeks ago so that you can carry three weapons. Frankie went and explained it all to us.

only 2 weapons, unless you are dual weilding, then you have 2 in hand and 1, let me say again, 1 as backup.

you cannot draw out a battle rfile and have 2 smgs holstered, so that you can later whip them out.

"Well, if you're holding a weapon in one hand, and you have another "holstered" you can dual-wield a third. That means the reserve weapon simply stays put when you pick up the dual-wield weapon. Effectively that lets you have three weapons at one time.

Though, one awesomely cool thing that I'd love to see Bungie do for the next Halo game (or whatever they're going to work on) is release the levels to the game at a rate of about one every two weeks.

It would be totally sick! Can you imagine the hype? Can you just see how big Bungie.net would be, rife with speculation on what's to come, just what Bungie's going to do next?

[color=lime]4 player co-op sounds like fun, as long as everyone has the same features. Brute force was a pile of -blam!-. They used Halo's popularity to sell the game. -blam!- them. WHY ARE YOU PLAYING HALO ON EASY ?!?!?! I was playing it on legendary yesterday and was murdering them. I was jumping into the middle of the fray and everything. You just want to be able to kill alot and be careless while doing it. yea, fun. sure.[/color]
