Here you go, now try and get this through your "thick cranium".
Frankie's Weekly Update
Friday June 18th,
"Well, if you're holding a weapon in one hand, and you have another "holstered" you can dual-wield a third. That means the reserve weapon simply stays put when you pick up the dual-wield weapon. Effectively that lets you have three weapons at one time.
Of course, that means that for newbies at least, it can be tricky keeping track of what you've got. To be honest though, after an hour or two of play, you stop thinking about it." -- Frankie
That still doesnt explain what happens when you switch to the holstered weapons.
In the Halo 2 FAQ page, it states that if you want to drop the dw'd weapon, simply hit the melee button. So my guess is that when you switch weapons, you drop the dw'd weapon as well. So carry 3 weapons at a time, sure.. but but only switching between 2.
Which actuall kinda brings up another concern, my control config on halo is boxer, so my melee button is the left trigger. So would my dual-wielding button then be the alternate "B" button and not hte left trigger if I want to use the same config? Not a very big deal mind you, but a good question nonetheless
