It means a employee has posted there, such as Achronos, Frankie, Sketch, (they are the most common) or anyone on that level.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

I think it's helpful. If I see a thread with a question that would be directed towards a Bungie Employee with a Gold Septagon next to it, I'll click it because it is good to see what they think/what their take on certain stuff is.

I think that a similar icon for moderators might be helpful as well, as long as it could be "overridden" by the Golden Septagon. Something like a Marathon symbol. It would allow (to a lesser extent than the GS) members and mods to see that a thread had been visited and attracted a mods attention to warrant a reply. The reply could be a warning, or advice, or a reminder of the rules. But a mod-stamp would also allow mods to know which threads might not have been visited and could be slipping "under the radar".

What a roaringly splendid idea.

I think that'd be a great idea. It'd make it easier for you guys to know which threads still need to be 'checked out' to make sure they are good threads. Anyone could make a perfectly acceptable title then have the thread just be spam.

Marathon symbol sounds excellent.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Or there's always the option of holding a contest of some sort. Whoever makes the best Mod symbol gets their own avatar?

Although Marathon symbol sounds absolutley delicious.
