I admire your confidence teacosy head!

I first played HALO March 2002 when it was released in the UK. My mate bought an Xbox and we were all like "you idiot its no good and its too expensive!". Then he bought HALO round and I had a go, along with everyone else in my house, and thought it was pretty flippin good, so I ate my words! I bought one a week later and played HALO for about 2 weeks non-stop!! Now we all play MP as much as we can!

Damn you MS & Bungie!!

It sooo ruled!!!!! I "Accidentaly" came across Halo, because my younger brother wanted me to get this weak snowboarding game called "Amped" for Xbox. The store I went to didn't have that game, but then I saw Halo, sitting there. I clearly remember the Halo commercials, and they looked pretty awesome. So, I instead decided to buy Halo, never having a clue of what I was about to enter into. When I got home, I started to play Halo. (Note: the weather at the time was like dark cold gloomy/rainy, all adding to my sweeet Halo experience.) I clearly remeberbeing totally freaked by all of the firing going on. I was already a 'veteran' first person shooter gamer, but Halo really changed my whole perspective about first person shooting games. It took me to the next level. I really cant completely describe what Halo was like for me the first time. I was completely taken in by Halo. It turned out to be the best damn game that I have ever owned. I played Halo day and night, for days, I couldn't stop. And now (present-day) I cant wait for Halo 2 to come out. I just know that my experience with Halo 2, will by so freakin sweeeet.

Hey you guys at Bungie studios Freakin rock!!!! Keep it up dudes, keep it up.

My family almost would not let me purchase the game because of the M rating. Soon my Dad tried the demo and paid for the system and game on his own. That night a friend came over and we played through the game ten hours straight to the end (from ten to 8 in the morning). Afterwards we slept till five o clock.

First (good) multiplayer experience was at another friends house with four xboxes and 16 people, as well as three big screen tv's and a projector. Most fun I've had in my entire life.

My first experience while playing halo was being shot.
Being shot a whole, freakin' lot.
My freinds thought it was funny.
It ain't so funny for them now when I snipe them in the face from across blood gulch.

Plus after my friend played it with me he bought an xbox.
After he bought it some other kids bought them.
After that it seemed like everyone i knew was a Halo addict.
No joke.
Whenever I think of Halo 2 I get really freakin jumpy.
Cant wait.
Also I was the first person to reserve Halo 2
Now everyone else has.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world: those who know binary, and those who don't.

the first time i played halo i was at my cousins house for thanksgiving. we decided to boot up his box to play this halo game he had mentioned once or twice. it was my first time playing, but i was used to fps's, and although i hadnt really played any on ps2(my FORMER gaming platform, now a doorstop) i was able to pick up on the next gen "two thumbstick" controls fairly quickly. were playing a 2v1 ctf at sidewinder, the third person being another one of my cousins who, besides sucking with the new controls, also couldnt seem to figure out the L shape of the level, so he was next to useless. i put up a decent fight, but somewhat hopelessly. i had however begun to see how this could be a sort of fun game. I was on a ghost, and suddenly saw the enemy near the middle of the level, near the mound with the overshield, combating my other cousin. i charged in guns blazing, but it was too late, my infanty buddy was killed. he had, before his death, throw a single grenade, which i was too newbish to spot, really off aim, directly in my path. i decided to try to ram my opponent to death, giving back some of my humiliation, but then the grenade blew up, launching me into the air high above him. he backed up into the wall, drew his sniper rifle, and as i was flipping thru the air, shot me out of the -blam!-pit. but some events cant be stopped once put into motion, physics wont allow it, so my ghost, still in its large, but relatively low arc trajectory, slammed into the wall, right side up, just at head level.

more specifically, my cousin's head level. we called it a draw, but from that point on i was completely hooked, and days later i bought an xbox and halo. i just couldnt go without a game with action that detailed and in-depth. where have i gone from there? well lets just say that as far as i can tell, my signature isnt the least bit arrogant.

and by the way, i've spread the joy. because of my personal introductions to halo, i have persuaded over a dozen of my friends into getting xboxes at first if not still for the sole purpose of xbox. weekly lans, 16 player matches, tournament teams assembled from those i first introduced to the game, those most deserving of its glory. now halo and halo 2 are the core of my being.bungie...will u marry me?

You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones

My first xpeirience: Imagine this, sitting in a dark apt. Papa johns pizza next to me, it was spinach pizza, yes i still remember everything about that night. I had a 56" tv in front of me, reclining couch, the DUKE which i still use and love, my unlce (god rest his sole) sitting on the couch playing fusion frenzy when i came in, handed me a controller and said have fun, he went to the bathroom took a shower, and while i was looking back as he walked into the bathroom BAM, the room got dark imedieately, only light in the room was that of the bungie logo. Right from then on, i had goosebumps i couldn't stop shaking. I got me a profile set up, and went right into campaign mode, Now imagine if you can, dark room, huge room. Big ass tv in front of you, and the first thing you see is the POA. From them on i had sleepless nights and endless fun. This game has truly changed my life. I follow the story line closer than i do my life.

My first Halo experience... It was the 2002 cross country season and we where having a "pasta party" before a big meet. 3 of the kids brought TVs and Xbox's, complete with halo. I didnt own an Xbox and had never played Halo, being a big nintendo fan ever since the good ol' day of Goldeneye. That night I witnessed and took part in the amazing 16 player carnage that is blood gulch CTF. I wasn't that good at first but got better, and then I discovered the joy of the sniper rifle. A week later I went out and bought an xbox and halo and have been playing since, also staying true to my sniper roots. Nothing is better then your buddy running with the flag about to get killed by an enemy and then shooting that enemy in the head and hearing a stream of curses come your way.

my first halo expirience was december 2002. i went to my friends house after the last day of school before Xmas vacation. he wanted me to see this game called "HALO". at the time i was still living in the PSONE world. there were 4 other guys at his house when we got there. i created the now infamous (in my town) profile "Dr. Black". and we got to playing. my GOD!! the graphics. my GOD!! the weapons. my GOD!! the vehicles. i still remember asking him if this was real? two other people in the same 'Hog as you moving simultamiuosly!! i had never seen it before. (PSONE remember?) after that, i went out and bought an xbox,HALO,and an extra controller on the way home. needless to say my mom and dad got nothing from me that Xmas as my money was well "invested", i tell my mom, on the joy that is HALO.

It was around the time of the Xbox launch. Me and my friend were in one of our classes called XGS (Extension General Study), but to us it was known as Extreme Gaming Studies as we used to just surf the internet and "study" games. Anyways, there was a bunch of Xbox fanboys in the class and they were going on about how the Xbox was so great etc, etc..
They were watching a Xbox preview video on the tv, and one of the featured games on it was Halo. It showed a jeep driving around a beach shooting these aliens.. My friend and I were Nintendo fanboys at the time, and we were trying to stir these xbox guys up by saying how crap the game was.. We were laughing at them and stuff and they seemed to get pretty cut up by the whole thing..

Anyways, soon afterwards I bought an Xbox, along with Halo, at it's launch here in Australia and have been playing it ever since.

I'm pretty loyal to the Gamecube and Xbox side of things in the gaming industry these days.. I hate the PS2 though (I own one though).

Halo though, is probably my favourite game on any system....

I had every intention of going through my entire Xbox career without ever playing Halo. I'm not a fan of first person shooters, so Halo never really crossed my mind. I remember watching the E3 Halo 2 demo and thinking it was cool, but I had no desire to actually play the game. But when the game went on sale at Target one week last June, I had enough curiosity to burn some cash and check it out.

I played a couple of levels, thought it was fun although the Warthog felt a bit too awkward, and then it happened. The game clicked. I don't know if it was playing through Truth & Reconcilliation, or my first multiplayer session that happened about the same time, but the game suddenly became all that and a bag of chips with some soda.

Bungie are indeed the "1337" you speak of, however, i beg to differ: i for one do not believe that Halo is the best game in existence, rather that the post is occupied by Half-Life.

NO! teacosy head has it all wrong, Halo SUX, Halflife is the best followed closely by farcry, even halo 2 is better than halo. Even daikatana beats Halo hands down. And before anyone asks, i have completed halo and halo 2 on legendary.
