I wake up in the morning an hour too late, and I rush to the computer to print out a paper I did last night (and post online a bit). One of the wheels that moves the paper was broken, so it ended up jamming. Quicky I rush to the other room, grab an old printer, and try to hook that up. The computer no longer recognizes it. I finally just put it to a floppy disk.
Quick shower and teeth brushing and I'm off! As I'm walking to school (I walk - no money for car insurance) in the humid, sunny, day-after of a monsoon storm I swear I see the bus go driving by, and I'm still 2 1/2 miles from school (basically, I walk three miles to my high school, then a bus there takes me to the summer school highschool). So, thinking I'm really late, I sprint the entire time, hoping to catch it. We have two days left and if I miss a day I'm dropped - I've worked too -blam!- hard and written too many -blam!- essays to just give up.
I get to the school and I feel like vomiting. I see only a couple people there and no bus - great, haha, wrong bus, -blam!-. You didn't see your bus you dumb bastard. So, I'm exhausted and dripping with sweat. Bugs, freshly born from the extra-humidity, take this moment to irritate the -blam!- out of me. Then as I'm panting I see my band director. He chews me out for not having my band camp stuff in yet.
School bus comes, and here is the one good part of today - I got to sit right under the AC for the entire way to summerschool.
The thunderstorms from yesterday had borked the school's AC system. This made everyone angry, people started to cuss, and we wrote four essays today on crappy medieval poems. The water was also down in all but one building - so that was the only location of water and bathrooms. It happened to be on the other side of school.
What's even better is I find out the essay I stayed up late last night doing wasn't even due today.
I get a ride home from a guy I know after school, and we get stuck in traffic. He drives an old 70's toyota - no air conditioning of any type, so we're stuck in stagnant, hot, humid air in a car where 90% of the surfaces are hot enough to give you a minor burn.
I get home, and to top it all off, my brother has locked me outside of the house. I had to get into the house by cutting the screen off my window with a spatula from the BBQ.
Suprisingly, I'm not angry right now, and this doesn't feel like a bad day, though it's probably one of the worst days of my life.
Edit: Well, that's a lie. This day isn't the worst by far, but it's pretty bad.
