Hi All

I am new to this site and forum. You could say I am a fan I have played all the Halo's except Halo Wars and loved them. I even like Halo 3 even though some critics put -blam!- on it. All in all if you look at the Halo Series as a whole you will find it pretty exciting gameplay wise as well as plot wise.

Anyway back to my questions. In Halo 2 do you verse white elites or are there any in your squad when you are the Arbiter? If there are I find it hard to distinguish the white elites from the silver ones. Also are there Grey elites in Halo 2?

No matter the odds, I will emerge victorious, because I have the willpower to do so.

If I recall right{bare with me, I haven't played 2 in years} the Arbiter is the only one in silver armor.

Can you believe it?

You fight white elites a few times in the game like at the big battle on Gravemind. They appear more when the difficulty is on Heroic or Legendary. When you're the Arbiter, Rtas, Vadum is a white elite that fights with you sometimes. And you free Counciler elites with white armor and there's some more at the battle with Tartarus on the Great Journey.

You battle a few of the white elites (ultras) throughout the game. I think one or two might fight with you towards the end of the game.

Don't actually recall any silver armored elites, unless you're talking about the councilers(the ones with the big headpieces).

And I'm fairly certain there's never been grey elites in Halo.

Also Welcome to the site. Try to enjoy yourself. It can be quite a fun place.

In halo combat evolved on the level keyes lots of grey elites and grunts on every diffuculty

Oh yes the special ops elites. Though they do have a different armor colour in Halo 2 if I recall correctly. It's been quite a while since I've played either.

Oh!

So the ones that I though were silver must of been the white ones. Because in second or last part where your the Master Chief if you remember there is two elites that are white or silver and are fighting Brutes.

One has the fuel rod cannon and the other Cov carbine and when you piss them off they take out their swords and go ape on you. Plus they have stronger shields. In one of the guides it said you could recognize a silver elite because of the sword switching they do when they go ape -blam!-. And I thought the white ones were suppose to sneak up on you with they're limited camouflage. That what the guide said anyway.

Hi Again

I just looked up Elites in Wikipedia and it has all the ranks/classes grouped in order. At the bottom of the table you have your Regular group which are the minor(blue) and major(red) and Ultra(white). Then there is the Specialist group which are the jet packers(metallic green/blue) and the Stealth Elites(mix of Grey and dark brown) which are always cloaked until you kill them. After that there is the Special Forces Group where there is the SpecOp Elite(dark, black) but there is also the Special Ops Commanders(tall, large and silver). Above these guys are the Honor Guards: Guardsman and Honor Ultra.

At the top of the list there is the High Commanders Group. The Zealot\Commander Elite (Gold) is the first one I saw who is in charge of leading an army of Covenant or Piloting fleets. The next two you don't really see much in the game because they are rare. There is usually only a few of these. You definitely don't fight in any of them in the Halo Games. One is the Supreme Commander(he is a friend of the Arbiter) and the other is Admiral. There is only one of these at a time and the current one is a character in one of the Halo's.

Hi

When you first play as the arbiter and you go on that secret mission against the rebel covenant are most of the elites Spec operatives(black)? With Rtas Vadum who joins every now and then. Rtas Vadum is a special ops Commander(silvery/whitish) according to HaloWiki and is the only one to hold this rank. White Ultra's are the Captains.

Has anyone noticed a glitch sort of thing when you first play as the arbiter? It is when Rtas Vadum is with you I think and you first encounter the flood. What happens is a few of the parasite heads crawl on Vadum and the black elites shoot them on him but even after they are dead the special op elites are still shooting. It is almost like they are trying to kill Vadum. Also when his shield is down and it happens Vadum starts twitching and screaming from getting shot.

Apparently Rtas Vadum is a ship master as fell as a Special Ops Commander.

Halo Reach falls september 14th...
The hackers are getting reach early and are leaking the game all over the place...
It is time to find a way to go dark my brothers....
But I can not help you... We are all on our own now...
Finding a way to go dark...

yes you can fight white elites which are called ultras, you can also verse silver elites which are called stealth elites.

If you shine your flash light on a special op elite does he look like a blue(minor) elite? If he does that is why I find it hard to distinguish between blue and black (special op) elites in halo 2.

Do you verse any special ops elites on Heroic when you are MasterChief? Are the cloaked grunts and elites special ops on the part where you are underwater in that small tunnel on the Island where you are going after Regret? Because when you shoot them their cloaking shield diminishes and it is only when you stop shooting them it goes back on. That doesn't happen with stealth elites.

Is there any difference between minor(blue)elites and special op(black) elites besides their armor colour?
