You are trying to be annoying to them by breaking their rules in every possible manner you can - what else do you expect.

Does anyone else feel that the reason the Maw is dying is because of a flood of useless posts? I believe it is the effect of a migration of Halo 2-ish behavior from Zanzibar. I should go collect some data, send a few surveys, analyze, compile, and write a thesis that will be stickied. No, too ambitious, and that would contribute to the worthless threads...

The Maw is dying for the same reason Halo CE is dying, no one is contributing. I went to the Zanzibar to see what there talking about and I realized another problem. They have new stuff to talk about, maps and stuff. PC hasn't changed in months and probably won't change again. So everything has been talked about.
BTW what determines the usefulness of a post? Do they all have to be as informative as "Buyer's guide to Graphic cards"? If I create a thread about the possible colors of the Masterchief's underwear, would that be considered useful? I bet it would generate thought provoking discussion and colorful replies. ;)

No, in fact those guides come around once in a blue moon.

What I mean is people saying random crap that isn't thought-provoking at all, and would only attract flaming, or the stuff is dead-ended. That's what I've observed, at least.

It used to be there'd be maybe one new thread a day here, but it was ALWAYS a good topic for discussion. Now, well, there's a whole lot more, and MOST of them are tech questions. It does keep me busy, but still, not too thought provoking.

Yes, that yhread idea about the underwear...if you start it, they will flame :P
