I was searching what bungie web addresses were taken, .com .net .org and .co.uk came up, I went to the .co.uk and voila.

I'd guess that the site's creator, being a Mac user, would be a Bungie fan, at least to some extent. So they took the then-unregistered bungie.co.uk domain and took it, because it's so cool.

EDIT: If you hover over any of the links at the top, you'll see the following url: http://homepage.mac.com/ibungie/etc. Obviously this is just the dot-mac webspace of someone called "ibungie", who registered the domain bungie.co.uk as an alternative link to his site.
