Once again, it really depends on what manor of stealth you are talking about. In another topic a while back I stated, stealth wouldn't be a bad thing assuming the game doesn't revolve around it.
Everyone who has been registered to this web-site and has payed any attention to the topics in this forum are probably aware of the theory of the Spartans returning to join John in the fight against the Covenant. Assuming this is the case, yeah I would definately like to see one or two missions which prompt you to keep a low profile and stick to the shadows. There was a number of missions in Fall of Reach in which the Spartans were ment to stay low. For example, in Sigma Octanus IV at Cote d'Azur when the Spartan's objective was to arm the HAVOK. They were travelling through sewers, using opticle cables for getting visual conformation of enemy presence in rooms. They even had equipped suppressors on their MA5Bs. Why not have one or two tactical maps where a little more strategy, stealth and teamwork is required instead of firefights and chaotic combat.
On the other hand, if you are talking about stealth similar to Splinter Cell, I would say definately not. Don't get me wrong, I love Splinter Cell and everything about it. But Halo is Halo and Splinter Cell is Splinter Cell. The type of gameplay games like Splinter Cell contain wouldn't suit Halo, not in my opinion. Like I said above, a couple of missions based around espionage, gathering intel, or planting explosives would be cool, but definately not the majority of the game and you would also have to ensure the main Halo elements and componants remain intact.
