in the Maw, 343 GS scanned an engine room computer and said "Human history is it? oh how we have found a history of our lost time....blah blah blah.". Now, why would the engine room computer have all of human history on it? that makes no sense. i think Bungie screwed the story up. please give me your thoughts on this issue.

this subject may have been explored before, but i spend most of my time in New Mombasa, so please don't flame me if it has

He probably hacked onto the data storage from that computer.

The engine room's computer is all hooked up to the Pillar of Autmn. Therefore 343 GS probably hacked into the PoA library computers (human history). There's an answer to your question. I wouldn't know how else he could access the data.

He probably got into a central type of computor from there, and accessed all of the records.

the PoA has a network so all the comps are hooked together and share info

I wonder why he had to acces the info from the engine room in particular and not the bridge or somewhere else. Maby he has just looking for something to do after stopping the countdown and automatic engine room malarkey.

Well I wonder why the corridors at the end of 'The Maw' (where you burn down in the Warthog to the Longsword Fighter) are curved. That's what makes no sense.

Why would there even be a record of human history on POA? It doesnt make much sense. I mean, the POA was meant to be equipped for a special mission and it was built to fight. Why do they need to have human history on it. Surely it would be a bad idea because if the Covenant got their hands on it they could of learnt all about Earth. And the Covenant were on the POA.

Because all information could once be needed. Who knows, maybe some ancient battle had a certain strategy that they now need. Highly unlikely, I know. But, maybe all ships and colonies are connected by a central computor network, where all data is stored. I'm sure that the ship would need coordinates for Earth, so if the Cole Protocol failed and the Covenant got ahold of the ship, they would learn of Earth anyway, diregarding if there was history or not. Besides, this isn't very important.

Everyone think about what he said, ok...... 1....2.....3... and 343GS (forerunner) said now we have a record of lost time. That means forerunners are human!

Or maybe 343 Guilty Spark is a Na-zi! (that word is blammed...)
