Ok, I know this was covered. But, not by me. And that one got heated!

I want to debate this. Give me a good argumentative position for and against Screen Spotting / Looking.

I am totaly against it. But, willing to read your points.

I too have noticed my name pop up in games on a snipers screen. And instictively moved away... but, I then stopped and told them to take the kill. I did not do this when I first started playing Multi-Player... but I changed and got better.

Why I am against it:
1) It makes one weaker when playing team games, when you can't see an enemy screen.
2) One does not develope sniper avoidence skills.
3) Tactics are not developed correctly knowing where "they" are looking.
4) One would get used to waiting for when "they" are weak. (shields down, etc.,.)

More points may be added as this grows...

Also, let's keep this on subject. Please.
I don't care about "dirty tricks". These are part of game play, part of war.

I agree, its an asset a player can lean on for help and anyone can do it. In my books if its legal its fine! Since the Canadian nor American government have gone ahead and made such a law I'm fine with it.

I've read the rule book, it's not there, or there's no rule against it...

Screen viewing, I don't mind it, but I don't need it. I prefer system link over split screen and having a teammate on your screen. But if you have a small TV it's virtually impossible not to look unless of course you're blind in which case BLAM!

Hahahahaha. That last part made me laugh. That's exactly how it is for me. My friends, who think they're the -blam!-, screen look and I kill them and they call me a screen looker for killing them. I just laugh and win. The radar (rather if you hate it or not and think its cheating) is the greatest tool on the game. I dominate with it. Without it I still win ;).
I watch people on my own team though if they're getting sniped and I'm trying to help them out, besides what's wrong with helping someone who's with you?

This is so funny, you tell me you read the "rule book". Screen looking is for -blam!- dumbass's who have no skill what so ever. If its not in the "rule book" doesnt mean that you should be -blam!- and ruin the game.

I have read the Rule Book, and I bet you and every person who has owned a copy of Halo: Combat Evolved has, infact I have it right here. It has 29 pages and the front cover reads: "Halo: Combat Evolved" and above it, "XBOX Only on Xbox" It basically tells you the story, rules, weapons, instructions, etc. And how can anything ruin the perfection that is "Halo"?

It ruins the fun when the enemy always knows when to mvoe or where to go. Ruins the point of the word stragety/ (sp?)

Try to spot at a tournament... or at the house of a guy that dislikes it... either way you are out of there!

And there is no rule book for HALO... so why do a few of you state "I have the rules right here..."??!!

So, if you think SS is ok... is it cool if I pull your controller cord? That is not in the book either...

Uhh, who cares? If I ever play split screen against someone, I'm looking at their screen, and if you don't like it.. Tough titties. Bungie could easily solve this issue by not offering split screen play. How about that?

what exactly does being -blam!- have to do with screen looking?

screen looking is cheating period (unless its a team member)
