hey...just curious about your opions of this subject....these implements to be integrated into masterchief's armor would greatly improve your survival chances in a dark room...much less a night time level...and yes...i already know that there is night vision option already on the sniper rifle...i just wanted the option for full time use instead of some dumb flash light that runs out...this would be a great improvement in my opinion..just look how great it looks in Rainbow Six 3.

technically they are already in his armor. they were built into in the the fall of reach so it makes sence that you would be able to use it in halo 2

it (the flash light and not having nightvision) is funner and adds a much loved scary atmosphere (the flood :))

i'd like to have it for stealth. ya know, elites can see flashlights but they can't see what's going on in your HUD

I definately want this, but they should drain the capacitor >2x faster than the flashlight. It would balance them out so they're not on 24/7 like in RS3. I also think the capacitor should take longer to charge and should always appear on the HUD. So you would have 4 options:

Normal: 0x drain.
Flashlight: 1x drain.
Nightvision: 2x drain.
Thermal: 3x drain.

sounds kool..I want night vision(not thermal) and it will balance it if the capacitor is drained twice as fast(or more) whilst its on. thermals are too much, cause with NVG you can still miss things hiding in corners holding very very still, but not with thermals, I want to be ready for baddies but still surprised somtimes..thermals show too much...

I think having night vision is a very good idea, they will have to have it to pull off the kinds of stealth sections they have hinted at. Having the battery drain faster is an excellent way of balancing out that power.

You can have night vision people. Try pressing white when zoomed with the sniper rifle. Also perhaps Halo 2 should have nightvision for all of their weapons zooms and even MCs built in binoculars for when he has no zoom feature.

I meant maybe we can in Halo 2, perhaps bungie added that nightvision to all the scopes instead of just the sniper rifle.

possible, but not probable, I just want night vision built in MC,s helmet...but I guess it would be usefull for conserving the capacitor..

this topic comes up every day it seems... Personally I would love to sneak up behind elites in the dark, put them in a stranglehold, and choke them to death. All without a flashlight

to bad there is no need for a stranglehold, a simple melee from behind "should" do the trick....

I guess as long as they make the effect good I wouldn't mind, but I've known games that make you see less when you flicker on the night vision in the dark... its kinda sad ain't it. Of course Bungie wouldn't do that, so I guess it isn't an issue.

Edit: Oh yes, and I would like it to stay in SP only, that way if there are any dark MP levels, there will actually be a purpose to the darkness...
