Ok so this has been happening to me since i got a new computer,
I start Halo PC up... (Trial and/or the CE) and it errors and says
"Problem Initializing DirectX, Hardware Accelration maybe disabled"
If anyone can help me with this, Send me an email at npwhite@shaw.ca or just post here...
I seriously need help with this so I can go pwn some n00bs on Halo!

What are your pc's specs. Also, if you have a 256MB card, you need the hotfix.

So, for this Hotfix.. Do I need to use it on the FULL version of Halo or the CE thing... Cause im using the CE and it wont let me patch it

CE doesn't have patches. You can only patch PC. All fixes are for PC, which CE than uses.

Ok... But.. I still havent gotten my question answered...
How do you fix the little problem that comes up...

If your disc is scratched up, you can get disc repair kits. They turned my Ghost Recon for PS2 from completely unusable to like new. I think they cost in the neighborhood of $20.

Dude, you have to replace the files in your Halo directory. You take the two files in the hotfix and save them in the Halo directory, and overwrite the old ones. However, you do have a 256MB video card, right?

i get that error message in pc when u try to set the display to a custom resolution, like 800*640.
