Great story man as I said on my FF.net name UNSC S117 it was a great story and I hope you can carry on stories with the Black Ops and The Mirratord,I mean we'd hate it if you ended them here!
Thanks much Bro,

GT:Perry USMCUnfortunately, the Halo Side Trilogy is done. I hate to back away from the Characters, but I'm sort of torn about what to do with them now. I'd really hate to start something new at this point with those characters. The "Halo" Verse has an ending and so does the Mirratord, Palab, The Queen, and the Black Ops. It is a painful post war ending that cannot really be called happy or sad. It is just the end of much long war. There are hints that the Black Ops are still in service, if you listen to what Phil's Commanding Officer tells him. The Black Ops files were deleted, but they show up, with their armor and a group of support teammates (the civilian dressed men). The Black Ops will most likely be shipped out to do other things as the UEG and UNSC tries to rebuild. Black Operations are always working. But that is going into the lore of the story. As for me, I do not, at this point, intend to do anymore Halo fiction.

In the end it isn’t about whom we hated, coveted, killed or destroyed. We are remembered for who we cared about, who we loved.
~Dovon Bonhoff
There will come a time when all men must pledge to a cause not their own- when all who are without loyalty will perish and those without friends will die first. Some say there is nothing more painful than watching your friends die before you- others claim it is forcing your friends to watch you as you die. The truth of the matter is that there is nothing worse in life than to go, knowing you don’t have any friends, and going alone.

What is done is done. We may commit ourselves to things we resent, things we regret, yet there has never been a soul in this world I have met that did not mean well by those actions.

That is life- ever seeking ways to make a body break. It is the duty of mortals to make that job a most difficult one.

May we live to laugh about it later.

The end of an epic, the fountain has finally run dry, and as the adventure, the tale worth telling, draws to a close, those following the progress can only look back with admiration and awe, standing in the radiant glories of past deeds and future potential... all good things must come to an end.
But such an end!!

Thanks Aardvark. The lone grunt who thought too much and grew too big, but was an inspiration for all of his kind. An Elite that didn't want to fight, but had to avenge the possible loss of his mate. The man who lead his friends to war, but couldn't bring them all home. And a woman who simply wanted to make weapons, but was too terrified to look at what those weapons were used for.
These characters made up a story that you all liked, and I am really moved that people enjoyed them this much. If I were to write more, then that would be filling in the imagination that I left you all with. For some of you, Queen Vasmeol and Simyal went on to live happily ever after, sitting atop the Elite Empire while negotiating peace with humans. But for others, Simyal and the Queen are off fighting against the remnants of the Covenant... hunting down prophets and brutes that may have been left behind. Or Rose and Eric went on to have their child and got married while Eric trained the future soldier and Rose helped rebuild the UNSC and ONI. Or they could have both vanished under the radar to live in isolation away from the watchful eyes of the military and protect their child. How about Palab, leading the Grunts.... or staying with the elites to help bring in a new era of Grunt and Elite relations. Would it be fair to give you "my" one sided ending to their lives? The future of these heroes is being played out in all of your heads right now, in the light that you see them in, and it wouldn't be fair for me rewrite your imaginations.
The trilogy was designed to parallel Halo 2 and 3, and that is where their adventures stop.
Could the stories continue? Sure they could.
Should the stories continue? No.
