Rose and Mel.. good question. As of what we know "now", Melanie is not aware if Siren is Kim. She has not revealead otherwise. The moment in question is when Siren first spoke with Rose in the amphitheater when they all first boarded the ship. Rose and Wesley were in the amphitheater, wesley was sleeping and Melanie came in to tell Wesley to go to the bridge. STage 10.

during this scene, Siren had her first emotional breakdown. Melanie only recognized a few statements as being something that her sister "Kim" would say. Other then that, it is merely speculation if she knows or not.

PS: Colpain... what's with the "Scorp"? I'm a little confused.

I asked cause when you were saying "scorp" I thought you were talking to me. lol. I was just curious.

I will admit, this is very farfetched... hard to piece together, but the key points is mostly that cortana knew the exact location of Halo, never does she admit that she didn't go there on purpose, dispite being a blind jump

I got the distinct feeling from TFoR that the crystal the Spartans found was a star chart. I think Cortana said the symbols looked very similar to the UNSC's version of one. I seem to remember her taking the coordinates and "compensated for a couple thousand years of stellar drift" and had like a 70-80% match with the ring's coordinates. I might go back and reread it just to be sure.

Anyways, I would like to congratulate you for creating this excellent piece of work. The storyline is rock-solid and very entertaining. You make some grammar/spelling mistakes here and there, but nothing too bad. Your story is just as good as Clark's and light years ahead of Brilliant's, I can't wait to see where the story goes. Keep up the good work.

Wow, Col Pain, I get the distinct feeling that I pissed you off by not reading your chapter. What chapter? As far as I know, I've read them all... wait... I wonder.

Well, I have an excuse: I've been busy with my own story.

I get, like, tons of fanfic writers that post me their stuff, asking if it's alright, and me, the good guy I am has to answer genuinely to all of them. I'm sure writers like Mr_Clark, Soulguard and The Silky Carp know what I mean.

So, it all comes down to this: I simply don't have the time to spend my entire day on these forums, checking on what everyone posts, and who does not post a damn thing. I've lost track of Papa John's story, of Reaper's story, of your story etc. etc. I'm not a goddamn machine.

Sorry for the sudden outburst, but I felt like typing it all down. In the words of Mr_Clark: I hope no one will crusify me over this. If they do, I'd like the wood used for the cross to be used for a new chair for my brother's Xbox room after I'm dead. Thank you.

Oh, and fill me up with drugs while I hang there.

Edit: Wow, I used the name for a particular kind of drug in the line above, but the website censored it...

Hey, thanks for the info, Soulguard.

Wow, Scorp, I never knew you were under that kind of stress.... Man, life sucks, doesn't it? Well, I suppose you should just chill... and go see a movie. (What? You quoted Mr_Clark, so let me quote you.)

Yeah I knew you were on Holiday, but well, you know. Anyway,
Xenon has been absent for some time, Silky is also on holiday and said he would be gone for quite a while.

I think the biggest thing going on is the surge of fanfic writters is shrinking. There was a point where we had at least 20+ fan fics floating around new mombasa. Most of them have since given up... I guess they weren't dedicated. But the more serious of the group have stuck it out. With the summer here though, I guess most people want to get out more and enjoy what freedom they have. Unless you live in the southern hemisphere, it's winter there.

Do we have anyone from south of the equaitor around? Yeah such a random question.
lol.

Thanks tommy tough guy.

Scorptank... totally agree. Sometimes the Message box will be flooded with PM's if I don't get on every day. I love getting PM's but I can't read them all and respond to them all over night, give me time. If you understand. I hope you do... I hope I understand. Oh god, what's going on? lol.

True. I believe we had like, 36 or so around, at the highest point. And more are coming every day, but it's true, most are just after the popularity of a writer, and can't write. Because, let's face it: There are only four people here on b.net that can seriously write. And I know only two who'd like to do it for a living, and have other things in the works.

Very true. Some of them did not take it seriously at all. We tried offering advice, tips, and suggestions but they blew us off and wrote whatever they wanted. Some of us take this very seriously and appreciate the feedback we recieve, even the harsh crits are useful (although painful). Like scorptank, Mr_C, and SirB we take this very seriously (I can't speak for anyone else, but I know there might be others out there), and want to go beyond just writing FanFics all of our life.

Mr_C and scorptank are working on other works (perhaps even trying to get published), I have submitted a work of fiction but was rejected a few years ago. Now I'm waiting for my editor to finish up my latest work and then I will do a rewrite and edit before I submit. ... errr... I had a point to this.

But my suggestion to anyone who writes Fanfiction here or at HBO and FFnet, take it seriously. Make it presentable. If it's comedy still make it presentable. But oh well... not everyone wants to improve, they just do it for fun.

uhh... I'll stop.

Monday, highland, I hope to be done on monday.

Yup. I had the same thing. I had this great (well, I found it great) piece of literature, fantasy, lying ready. I took it to a publisher and they told me that it was great, but the couldn't publish it because they only published Dutch books and I had to go to a Dutch publisher that published English books. There they told me it was good enough, but they had all this editing ready for it which I did not like at all, to quote Christopher Paolini:

"Editing is the worst part of writing a book. This person sits in front of you, ripping away your book until this ghost of it appears. It was like hot needles of bamboo were driven into my eyes, and worst of all, this person does it all with a smile, saying it's for the best."

And I said I could edit it myself, but they didn't believe me, and they said my credibility was kind of on the low because I was fourteen back then... sort of sucks, eh?

Well, I'm hoping to get my next Fantasy book done in a year or two and I'll go really serious. This Halo story is fun and all, but it's science fiction, which is not my taste amyway. I just did it because I could do some Clancy-like stuff, and I wanted to try it. This Halo fanfic is a fun way to distract me from the real stuff, but it will happen someday... someday... yeah....

Highland Brute do you know if Amber is worth a lot in England(or anyone that knows) as it can be easily found at the polish coast and I'm going there. (last I checked it was).

P.s the heat has finally gone away from here, but only for a few days.
I've written(in my head)all of ch4 and half of ch5 The only things missing are the first two paragraphs. I simply have no idea how to start it of.

Everyone
Seeing that I won't be posting today's stage until monday, I feel that I should give you all something to read in the form of a rant.

...again.

DOA: Extreme Beach Volleyball has become my newest obsession beyond halo. The game is nearly two years old (or older) but I just recently picked it up. Now you may be saying, "oh he just likes looking at the girls, ogling them with his eyes. They aren't real girls soulguard, GET A LIFE!" and I know this is what some of you are saying. However, Team Ninja didn't make a pretty game. DOA:EBV is actually a well tuned volleyball game. The game play is fun and addictive, and the little side/mini games are fun!

AFter spending a few hours with my "real" lady friend, I ventured home and finally began playing with the virtual babes of DOA... wow. After I stopped drooling I began to fully grasp the gameplay and timing of the volleyball action... WHOA! The team AI was spot on, there comments were cute, and their outfits were simply amazing... err... the gameplay was just fun. I found that listening to the game in it's native language of Japanese (with Engrish sub) to be the most fun. Something about Japanese that just sounds cute when girls talk. lol.

Oh well... so why am I talking about DOA in Bungie's Halo forum? Well, first off, Halo is king... Bungie is second only to God... and the Xbox is my home away from life... but I wanted to share this with you because if in the midst of a scene of "If I were your Hero", Rose, Melanie, and Siren all apear on a beach, speaking Japanese, playing Volleyball, and commenting each other on the gifts they gave each other.... you'll understand why. lol.

If anyone is having ZERO fun with your xbox right now and you're looking for a fun second game outside of halo... try to find DOA:EBV! AFter you get passed the simple learning curve I'm sure you'll have a great time.

I'm going to marry Lisa and Tina! ::drool:: =P

That... was the most random stuff I've ever heard.... It's much more fun in real life. Seeing girls play volleyball, I mean. Especially if you walk up to one of them, planning to ask her out, and get the ball smacked in your face. (That was an accident!!!)

So, this was my random rambling time, I might just start to look like you....
