"...past the ruins of the New Mombasa space tether (destrpyed in Halo 2), as Brutes, Jackals and Grunts are waiting in ambush.
But wait, weren't the Grunts teamed upw ith the Elites at the end of Halo 2? What are they doing with the Brutes? According to Staten, their shifting allegiance is a matter of gameplay practicality: "There were great moments in Halo 2where you'd meet up with a pair of Hunters and they be on your side," he says. "But they were offset by all the times it sucked, when you'd be sitting there wondering who you had to kill. IN Halo 3, we've clarified right fromt eh get-go who your enemies are.""
So from that part, Grunts are no longer on the good side. It really makes me mad.
Sorry Bungie if I broke the rules, but as we are our own little community who have followed Soul for a long time, this was a tough blow. Especially b/c Stand Five Feet Tall was a great, great, great book.
