Look, I know that everyone and their brother has written some kind of theory that either prooves or disprooves a Human-Forerunner connection, but I promise, this one's different.

Now, I believe that the Humans are the Forerunner to start it off, I believe the evidence supporting such a connection is overwhelming. I'll be reffering to the Covenant aliens as 'the Covies' so try not to get confused.

10s of 1000s of years ago the Forerunner were probably conducting experiments onboard the Halos on a life form known as the Flood. Some how, the Flood escaped and destroyed all life in the galaxy, leaving but a few Forerunner who resided in the Halos which were then used to hold captured Flood samples and mop up the rest of the Flood. So, the dying Forerunner species went out to do two things, make a group of beings who could combat and contain the Flood in the future (the Covies) and replicas of themselves to ensure the survival of the species (Humans). Basically like the biblical story of the flood: God (Forerunner) unleashes a flood (Flood) upon the world (Galaxy) and it purges it of all life except for the species aboard the ark (Halo or Halos). He then made a promise to those created in his image (the Humans) never to do it again by creating a covenant (Covenant) with the humans.

So, anyways, jump to the Human-Covie war. The Prophets learn that Humanity is the direct decendents of the Forerunners (their gods) and realize that if the rest of the Covies get wise of this, the Prophets will loose their power. So, they decide order their forces to destroy the Humans, the very species that they worship and are bound to protect. In the mean time, they are in search of the arks, the peak of Forerunner technology, and discover coordinates for one, intentionally left for Humans by the Forerunner, on a Human world. So anyways, the Covies get there along with the MC and break the Forerunner-Human Covenant by releasing the Flood. So now it's up to the MC, a decendent of the Forerunner, to restore the Covenant (destroy Halo). Now to incorporate 343 GS. 343 GS, after being abandoned for 10,000 years, starts to get pretty pissed at the Forerunner and when he mistakens the MC for a Forerunner, he sees his chance to exact his revenge. So he tempts the MC with destroying the Flood, as a Forerunner might also have been tempted, while really wanting the MC kill everything and leave him alone. This fits in with the Fall from Eden in the bible perfectly. Genisis, Book 3, verses 3-4 tells of the snake's (343 GS if you couldn't figure out) deception of man into biting the fruit from the tree of knowledge (learning how to destroy the Flood) and thus expelling man from Eden (Halo). This of course is a breach of the original Covenant made with the Humans so Eden is destroyed.

Now, the Humans have to destroy the Covies after they attacked the Humans, breaching their side of the Covenant. Thus, Halo 2.

There we go, we're all one big, happy, biblical interplanetary family.

CLICK: OMG thank you for posting this, when Halo was 1st released it was obvious of the bible referances, heck even the name is one, you ever read the book of revelation elites look like a manifestation of Apollyon's army of flying men with the head of crickets who wear armor of red blue and yellow and spit fire etc etc. MC could be the second christ described and the mother would be earth, the seven headed dragon that looms over his birth is the covenant, a head per species. I could go on but this is what I have from memory

addition: seven heads seven species grunt, jackal, engineer, hunter, brute, elite, prophet

satan was a fallen angel, the dragon, which is an incarnation of satan, is the covenant, the covenant is satan. fallen angel, tech found by forrunner. Satan wants to destroy gods creations, covenant want to destroy us. need more, thinking, perhaps until we have the Halo Bible the best source is the Christian bible esp genesis and revelation

Edit: God created the angels first(forerunner) then he made earth, the order of creation in genesis is concistant with the order of evolution then he made us in his image. Eden was our status as forerunner, temptation of the tree of knowledge=experimenting with the flood we were throwhn out of eden, lost our power, noah's arc, purging of the bad=purging of flood.

Me: "OMFG, Dude... wtf!"
AbolitionofMan: "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to betray you."
Me: "That's the 4th time in this game alone!"
Chris: "Third, besides he had the flag I was trying to stop him, how was I supposed to know you were there."
Me: "I said, 'I got the Flag, don't shoot.'"
Chris: "Well those Wraith shots take a while to reach you."
Me: "You were right next to me, I had killed him and a minute passed before you decided to shoot."
Chris: "Hahahahaha, yeah... that was great."

Chimichanga, out--blam!-ing-standing. Very supportive tie in to the bible.

I think the Eden tie-in is stretching it a little, but I see what you're getting at with the flood, covenant, and stuff.
