That was one heck of a Tourney! Wow...no standby (heh). But you have to ask yourself, would you want somebody to use STANDBY when the person(s) you just standbyed go to your school?!

The reason that you havent heard anything yet is because u are from canada, and no one likes the canadian. Mostly because there are French people there, and the french are the only people that are hated more than the Canadian.
damn french...

ROOKIES!!

Dead God in HEAVEN!! If you are going to b!tch about something, read up on it first!

To everyone b!tching about it not being on-line:

IT IS ON F@#$%ING LINE! Go to the d@mn website and get the details before you b!tch about something...GEEZ!

And to all of the little kids out there...well...you're right. You should be able to compete. I know plenty of underage kids that kick my ass on a daily basis on Live. So yeah, you should be allowed to enter.

L8er!

Ok people here is how its gonna be. If your under 18 you just need a parent to sign you up for it. The reason they said that is because the world championship most likely won't be held here in the USA. Those of you who are under 18 don't you fret the original Halo Champs are almost all under 18 and they played didnt they. Yes Bungie can enter the tourney, its open to everyone and just because you made the maps doesnt mean some of the players out there don't know them as well as you do. And PLEASE stop complaining or putting big messages full of w's on the forums. This is a place to discuss information about events not to cry that your to young for something and correct Bungie webmasters on a grammatical mistake. We are all human (except master cheif hes a god, and the elites are just some weird aliens who are pissed off that their pretty ring got blown up by some guy with a shotgun and a scoping pistol). If you want answers that bungie doesnt have I suggest researching it. Go on the internet and type in Halo 2 Championship and I'm sure you will find something. If not there are thousands of cooking sites that will most likely come up with it. Master Cheif would stick you and watch you explode and then make a sandwhich to share with the strange voices in his head that keeps hacking into computers. Anywho an answer to the War Craft 3 guy do you have any idea how much bandwidth it takes to have constant tourneys going on for people a world away from each other. Also to make sure Bungie isn't cut short on prizes there would most likely be an entry fee for every tourney you play in to cover costs. And now onto the STANDBY GUY. Tourneys are held in buildings set up for a LAN based party. you have to go to this building, sign in, hook up your stuff and then have them link you into a home server so that they can monitor all the games at once. this also eliminates standby and other glitches you might take advantage of in your gaming chair at home.

WHY DO PEOPLE ASK DUMB QUESTIONS? LOOK IT UP AND STOP BOTHERING BUNGIE. THEY HAVE MAPS TO MAKE PEOPLE TO BAN AND ANOTHER HALO TO MAKE. THIS IS NOT BLIZZARD WHO SITS AROUND FOR TEN YEARS MAKING STARCRAFT: GHOST AND NEVER GETTING ANYWHERE. RESPECT FRANKIE AND RESPECT THE BUNGIE GUYS, THEY ARE WATCHING ALWAYS!!!!

(the eyes are watching and my sniper is watching them close for good)

Im a younger gamer and It just maked me mad that we cant participate in these events. I think it should be alright because all of us younger gamers would have their parents permission. It just makes me angry that we are not allowed because of age. A lot of us dont even care about money and prizes we just wanna face decent competitors.

wow, a fifty foot flat screen. what if their living room wall isn't big enough? oh, did you mean fifty inches (50").

The fifty footer is simply one of many prizes. You know, the trophy and "aslo" a 50' TV.

So proofreading and using spellcheck are not his fortes. We all make mistakes. We can deal with it.

Hello i was asking to the offical of Halo 2 about the 18 and older policy, i am mature enough that i can handle loosing or winning. I have competed against people thrice as old as me. But i respected them and we played our best. Please consider making it so with our parents permission we can register in this tournament, and let the prizes just be given to our parents. I mean now that standby and most of cheating is eleminated, i can let my true skills shine. Please give us nice teenagers a chance to win some cash and become renowed as the best Halo 2 player in the world.
Please respond to my request
P.S. I hope you see the light of my philosophy.

Another reason they have an age limit on the tourny is probably they dont want a bunch of little (12 year olds) kids running around scearmin "I want to play, when can i play, its my turn, its my turn, these kids are to good, its not fair" annoying the crap of eveybody causing them to get into a bad mood and get pissed not wanting to play halo 2. There would be so much confusion with all of the really high voices everywhere.

Wow, this is great! Just signed up. Its cool that they're doing it online and everything, because it makes it easy for everyone to play from where they are and when they can. HOWEVER, even though non-registered X-Box Live subscribers can't WIN the tournament, that doesn't prevent them from playing in the tournament... I'm just pointing out that it's not exactly fair to the participants to have to play against everybody like that... I mean, it kind of puts you at a disadvantage, doesn't it? I guess it could be an ADVANTAGE too, but it just seems that this causes too many outside variables to deteremine the winner, don't you think?
Regardless, I can't wait.

I love it when barely literate people try to sound intelligent.

how would you know if they are a minor or not
The atrocious grammar and puerile subject matter of their posts is usually a big clue.

I was going to make a joke about the fifty-foot television, but I see that's pretty much played out now.

Just go register and then come May 2nd (or when they reset the leader boards) it begins...it will end with on May 30th I belive. Who ever is leading at that time "if elgible" (cant spell I dont know if its correct) will be quilified for the Regional Tournement. Then is a paid round trip for one to go to the regonial tournement...for who ever asked that question also...just go to the site and read it yourself....
