R.I.P. Halo 2

You've never played Halo 2? But you own the first and the third? Wow, you must be completely lost in Halo 3's campaign. Anyway, yes you should buy it. It is a very good game, and every last person on Halo 2 Xbox LIVE helps keep it alive.

Since organized communities are usually more enjoyable, you should take your time to read the forum rules to save yourself some trouble and help keep the forums clean :-)

If you're looking for a change as far as Halo gameplay goes, you should definitely get yourself a copy of Halo 2. Anyone who has played a fair amount of the Halo games knows that they all have their own unique feel. Halo 2 feels nice and sturdy, (there are plenty of words that could be substituted, so feel free to add something else :-)). and it's a nice change every now and then. I would definitely recommend that you at least try it. You won't regret it :-)

You should play all the halo titles each gives a certain quality that another lacks. All three games compliment each other.

Halo 2 has the best storyline of any Halo game.

its amazing.

technically i own it for vista but regardless, you can't really call yourself a halo fan if you've never played halo 2! :)

the multilayer is awesome, and i find the people online are a bit better...maybe that's just me though.......

  • 03.31.2009 7:50 AM PDT

yes you should and you had to of bin lost in halo 3 without halo 2

  • 03.31.2009 7:54 AM PDT

I would get it just to play through and fill in the gaps between the stories of one and three. Not only that but then you also own the whole trilogy. Ten bucks isn't a bad price for it, and it is lots of fun to play online too. Just make sure if you do get it, and decide to play matchmaking that if there are any problems you check the pinned thread in this forum before making another topic about not being able to play online.

Yeah. I just bought Halo 2 over 1600 microsoft points, and I think it was worth it. Brings back memories of the good old days.

  • 04.01.2009 8:48 PM PDT

I love the entire Halo series, Halo 2 being my favorite of the games. I think that the universe is compelling and the story is deep, sweeping, and powerful. The hidden layers in the Halo trilogy and rich details of the backstory in the novels are something I love to be lost in, and im greatly looking forward to the story that Halo: Reach will weave. Bungie has carefully and lovingly crafted a mythic tale that will stay etched in my mind until the end.

you only own 1 and 3? How does that work out?

Anyways, yes buy it, Halo 2 has the strongest story of all 3 games. Although gameplay wise, it will feel much like Halo 3, because Halo 2 introduced many of the concepts that are in Halo 3 and Halo 3 didnt really add much. But i strongly recommend you buy it as it will probably be very cheap since its old and its an amazing game.

It's for the 1st Xbox but it is compatible with the 360.

Or you can get the Windows Vista version... but I don't recommend it.

Have fun, but watch out for button combo noobs.

You better close this sig when your done.

I got Halo 2 first and decided to get Halo 1 after that because I realized that I missed a huge chunk of the story (and I never got surprised of the flood like I was supposed too.) So I recommend you play halo 2, its fun and the only gripe I have with it is the graphics, but back then they were amazing!

Yes, buy Halo 2. It's a great game and if you liked 1 and 3, then you will like this one.

TEZLA { @N$3CT } JIRQUAN!

Just buy it if you want it. Or rent it. Problem solved.
