I'm sure thor is greek mythology. I looked it up.

I'd say look it up again.

Here.

...and here.

...and here.

... and finally here.

This is only after a minute or two of searching.

Achilles

sorry

homose xuality, but who the hell wasnt -blam!- back around then. If you check most cultures practiced it, from europe to asia

  • 07.13.2004 10:04 PM PDT

are you saying... that the MC might be homo-blam!-...? That would explain alot about his non -blam!- relationship with cortana.

Thor is ABSOLUTELY NOT GREEK!!!

Hephaestus was the only greek god that I can think of that had a hammer, and I don't remember that being named anything anyway.

and instead of saying that I'm greek and that automatically imparting all greek knowledge to me I'll say that I went to a greek school and we studied mythology practically every year. (along with the alphabet)

anyway, i know I'm coming off as an ass, so I'll just stop now.

now, the reason you might believe that thor is greek as well is that hephaestus has an equivalent in roman mythology. his name is vulcan. it's where we get the word volcano. and the greek god most equivocal to thor is zeus, or in roman mythology, jupiter.

The Spartans weren't so unstoppable in their later years. During the time of the Roman empire's power, the Spartans traded in their armor for robes. They were reduced to nothing more than an obstacle for Rome. Had Sparta made more use of their victory over Athens in the Pelope.nisian war, perhaps they would have been a more formidable opponent. Any way, back on topic. Yeah there are a lot of similarities between Halo and Greek history/mythology. But just correcting you on the fact that Spartans were stoppable, very much so.

No, Hercules was Roman, Heracles was Greek. And he was not related to Thor in any ways shape or form.

The Romans adopted many of the Greek customs and traditions. They had very similar gods and myths, but changed the names to fit Roman culture. The only thing the Romans had over the Greeks was power, and military strength and numbers.
