Subject: What's the best way to play?

I have been getting back into Halo 2 quite alot lately and want to know, what's the best things I can do to get the best out of Halo 2 both visually and hearing.

I have a 360 with HDMI (only goes to 1080i, I have a 720pTV)

Sometimes i've noticed while playing the audio itself just cuts straight out kinda like someone muted my tv, then itll come back on, anyway to fix that?

I need suggestions people! Help!

Boy that's a tough one to answer. Obviously the best way to do it would be to get a new HDTV with 1080i and hook up your HDMI to it. Digital surround sound is also something that would give you better sound.

I am going to assume you don't want to spend a ton of money on all kinds of new stuff, so I would say leave your settings as is. When it comes to the sound though, you may want to make sure that all the cables are plugged in all the way. You could also hook something else up to the TV to make sure it is not a problem with the TV itself. If that doesn't fix it, try using the component cable that came with your xbox and see if it still does it. If it doesn't you may need to replace your HDMI cable. Also check to make sure that your disc is in good condition, no scratches or smudges on it.

My TV goes up to 1080i, IE. I can use that setting.

720p messes with Halo 2 insanely, 480p works better and what the box stated.

It might be the cable, cuz it wasn't this choppy in areas before I got HDMI.

Can you still hook up an original xbox to a HDTV and have it play in HD? (If so I might just eBay an original Xbox)

If your TV goes to 1080i use that setting, if you don't think it looks right use 480p. 720 never looks right because most things are not designed to show in that format.

As for HD in an original xbox, I don't know if you can do that or not. Try checking out the forums on xbox.com, they should have an answer there.

TEZLA { @N$3CT } JIRQUAN!

Uhhh... just leave it the same as you normally have your 360.
