Chapter 1: Getting started
So, you are asking "How do I get Halo PC?". Well, there are a few ways:
In order to download it on a PC, you must buy it from walmart or another store
To get it on a MAC, download it from here: http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/games/demos_updates/hal ocombatevolved.html
Now that you have it for your PC/MAC, lets me show you the basics:
Use the W,A,S and D keys to move
Click on the left mouse button to shoot
Click on the right to throw grenades
Press the left Ctrl button to crouch
Press F to melee an enemy
Press G to switch between frag and plasma grenades
Press Q to activate flashlight
In multiplayer, press T to talk to everyone, Y to talk to team only, and H to talk with only the people in the vehicle you are in
When you first start the game up, you will see the main menu, where you can control everything:
Campaign- Start a new campaign or continue one.
Multiplayer- Play with or against up to 15 other people via LAN or Internet on one of the 19 multiplayer maps
Proflies- Switch, Delete, or make new profiles to use in multiplayer and campaign.
Settings- Set the settings for the current account you are on
Credits- Shows the credits of who made this game
Quit- Exit Halo and returns to desktop
Mouse Controls:
Left button: Fire weapon
Right button: Throw Grenade
Middle/scroll button: Zoom (Use the Z button if your mouse does not have a middle button)
To join a multiplayer game, you must choose Join an Internet game, then click on the Refresh or Get List buttons on the bottom left, and then choose a server to join. To change multiplayer color, in Settings, go to Choose Color or something like that, and choose the color and press OK.
Chapter 2: Halo Custom Edition----Getting Started
Halo Custom Edition is similar to Halo PC, only there's no campaign and it does not work on the Mac, only PC. To get it for a PC, you must buy a copy of Halo PC, and then download Halo Custom Edition from www.halomaps.org, and use the 25-digit CD code on the CD case of Halo PC to download and install it. You can download custom maps and play and test them, and also, you can make maps yourself using the Halo Editing Kit. But I dont have the time to explain it. But I will explain everything later...
