The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

I've played Halo since the start......Have all the games but I really miss multi in halo ce. looking at buying it but had some ques.....Does anyone still play, how is the gameplay, finding games, etc....any info would be helpful......
For Halo Combat Evolved, 99% of the servers are public and unlocked, and there's about 1700 players peak hours daily, so you can find games easily. You have a very established base of players after 5+ years. In other words, you will run across two types of players, the newbs and the pros. While Halo PC "aim" is very forgiving, because of the server side lag things can get ridiculous sometimes. Be prepared for laggy gameplay where you have to essentially aim twice, first directly onto your opponent (in closer range and/or with zoom you will get red crosshairs), then second, ahead of where the player is moving, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot depending upon range and ping. Learn to press F1 in game to see everyone's pings. Or you will notice that people with higher pings will disappear more often and appear to move faster. LOL. Other than that the gameplay is fantastic! 56K modem FTW! Also there are a few cheaters still being annoying, but it's really minor now. For Custom Edition, I dunno anything but there are a lot less players, I know that. Cheating was just as bad if not worse on Custom Edition a couple years back too.
