sorry if this is 'way old' but I was just thinking about some of the stupid stuff I've tried in Halo and remembered the warthogs on Silent Cartographer.

has anyone else got one of the warthogs all the way to the maproom switch? not the switch that opens the doors, but the one WAY down in the level that gives you the location of the control room.

It was an absolute pain in the ass to do, and took several hours on Co-op to get one to the maproom. 3 warthogs went in, and only one made it. using one to ram another through doorways means you leave one behind. it was fun, and for anyone thats new to Halo, you should try it for kicks. I wish I had a picture but I dont. we did it late summer 2002.

and has anyone else noticed that one of the hogs on Cartographer seems 'thinner' ? like it goes between tight spaces (rocks, trees) and through doorways mostly by itself, without needing to be pushed.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

I have done it once also, it was fun, and yes i was bored. I also got the marines to run in circles around the map. i told them to get out of the hog, then i just stould there. After awhile the marine went back to the start of the map. Then i ran him over

yes, my friend Jeff and I were doing co-op and had beat the game several times over on legendary. so we spent a good bit of time trying to get the 'hogs into places they normally wouldnt go. so yes, we were very bored. but it was worthwhile.

we also got both tanks, both hogs and all 4 ghosts on top of a base on blood gulch. that took about 8 people on multiplayer though.

so yeah, go ahead and post your crazy vehicle adventures!

I did that alone by jumping the hog off of the "Shafted" platform.

It took me 15 respawns, 9 dead marines, 3 hogs, 2 dead elites, 3 dead grunts and one overshield, but I got my hog onto the very top of the map in SC. I drove around the entire island's mountains!

I also discovered that you are invincible for a split-second when climbing into a vehicle. Assuming needles or a grenade arent stuck to you.

All hail Hog Launching!
