Magnum.
There should be a magnum with pinch more damage than the Halo1 pistol and slower rate of fire. Mainly so they could be dual weilded and blow the tobacco juice out of people in the way.
Rail Driver.
A rail driver would be a lot like a sniper rifle, but only with one shot per clip. Basically, the magnetic propulsion shoots out a large spike so fast it kills people in a single shot and can do massive damage to vehicles. The balance would be that you couldn't afford to miss because you have one shot and take plenty of time to reload.
Minigun
Think Jesse Ventura in the predator, Chief had it in VERY early halo, why not now?
Sonic gun
A nifty little gun with minimal damage that disorients anybody hit by it. The high-freq sound waves made extremely directional by the gun should have a moderate range and disorient the screen and sound of anybody hit by it for a little bit. I don't think sound would damage shields, but it should do slight damage to unshielded enemies. Would make a nice weapon to disorient somebody so they can hardly tell where you are or shoot straight then finish them with your other weapon without being too powerful in and of itself.
laser-guided rockets
I think using dumbfire rockets in the year 25XX is ridiculous, give us self guided, or atleast laser guided rockets!
EMP grenade/gun
Some kind of weapon which could disable vehicles, perhaps some types of weaponry and disable a players HUD including weapons display and motion tracking and maybe make the screen a bit staticy temporarily
Grenade launcher with regular/incidiary grenades
A little bit of arc to a grenade launcher would make it a great seige weapon, and napalm grenades could start a very damaging fire that enemies would have to avoid, or the grenade's initial blast would catch them on fire like the flamethrower in HaloPC does. Regular grenade would have their obvious usage
