Dual weilding overrated? Give me a PR and a Magnum and I'll give you a BR and tell me if its overrated.
Despite that, DW still sucks just because it contributes to Halo 2's main problem which is weapon imbalance. That weapon imbalance is not present in Halo 1. No one was certain they'd get a flag in Halo 1 once they grabed the Rocket, and if anyone can say the same after they pick up the Rocket on offense in Zanzibar, that person is an idiot.
Halo PC involves an insane degree of skill to master. The lag is pratically universal, you won't be experiencing certain lag in one server and more lag in another. Overall, as soon as you get used to the overall feel of aiming ahead (BTW, noobs. You had to aim ahead in Halo 1 too. Just because Halo 2's auto aim is so damn present that you hardly require a thumb to shoot someone doesn't mean having to aim ahead is a bad thing), which is another factor that seperates the bad from the good players (A seperation not present in Halo 2). In Halo CE, you have an environment full of people where you can create any gametype you want on any map you want and as long as your connection is solid, you'll have a packed game within a few minutes.
I enjoy Halo 2, but Halo PC is immensely superior IMO and I have trouble taking any opposing opinion seriously only because in my eyes, its so clearly obvious that Halo 2's balance issues hold it back from living up to its potential that knocking a game as good as Halo CE for anything aside from graphics and being outdated just seems illogical to me.
I can only pray that Halo 1 wasn't just a fluke on Bungie's part, and their great job with Halo PC reassures me of that fact. The lag free and voice chat environment of Halo 2 is tempting in the beginning, but in the end I just got bored of it. However, I still play it to this day, but in conjunction with Halo PC and I do just fine.
Halo 2 PC shouldn't fail to dissapoint. If it utilizes the same system that Halo PC did, I'll be more than happy.
Taking away the ability to play custom games with an online community granted by XBX and Halo PC is the second bigest mistake Bungie made with Halo 2, IMO. I hope they don't implement their crap matchmaking system in Halo 2 PC.
