Beleive it or not, i've seen things that look like cheating but aren't. I have yet to see a cheater, other than the one person who seems to be able to shoot me through trees and rocks... but the die hard thing, i have had cases where i have no clue how i lived. I'll be honest, i'm not a big fan of the assult rifle. Perhaps if we could make it double the pistol's speed and make only 2 bullets needed to kill the enemy, now that, is an assult rifle. This thing they have... i'm sorry... this is an automatic peice of crap, no offence to bungie. The only good i've seen was on the so called modded maps where it takes 1 bullet of anything to kill. That's when the automatic flashlight of halo actually is good. If the plasma rifle would shoot just a weeeeeeeeeee bit straighter, then we could talk about these automatics, but it dosn't take an einstein to figure out that all some one needs is a semi good aim and the rocket rules all. I havn't seen a needler kill or a plasma pistol kill in ages. Though i did see some one get bashed to death with a plasma rifle. I suck with a ghost and only people who are ignoring shades get killed by them. And i think we all know that the shadow would be a nice little veichle addon to the multiplayer, right? This is just a few ideas for those working on CE maps. Having correct weapons would greatly change how the stats project works.
Also, if i ever get my programs to get internet access, i might be able to set up an EXE beta program to work with your project. Maybe get closer and closer to one that would look good and has a purpose. And inspire, if you're looking to make a name for yourself, find a way that we could download custom maps through CE like you can do with Call of Duty and a few other games. Saves all that trouble trying to find a site wit hthe map and finding the map on that after going through a bunch of registration mumbo jumbo just to play on a CE server for 5 minutes.
Punkbuster? i have heard CoD has issues with that... Explains alot... I noticed though that, "star trek: star fleet command III" may be old but you'd tend to think it'd have hackers. But no, no problem with hackers at all. And... it's pretty much open source. Dosn't take anyone long to figure out how to edit that, but what's really sad is some clan scraped a model because it was no good, sadder yet, it was a model that came with the game. Now that's sad...
