I know! when I was 6 I thought the grunts were my team mates! It was a good game. At first I thought I was on the Grunts side but I kept on dieing so then my dad told me that I was the dude in armor. I always played that game until Halo2 came out. But I think Halo1 was the best Bungie game ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :]

How is this for scary, I was 41 when I bought my first console, and Halo CE!

CE was not my first game to pop into the tray, after Evil Dead Fistful of Boomstick, Run Like Hell and some lame aerial combat game I was about through with it, then someone mentioned Halo CE and WHAM! I finally knew what all the hubub about game consoles was! I knew before 10 minutes of gameplay had elapsed that I was in trouble (or rather my getting a full nights sleep and my work ethic were in trouble). It has been a great ride with just 4 core games to keep me occupied:

CE
H2
Doom III
Doom III Resurrection of Evil

Yeah, I need a life!

My new friend told me to come over to play this "Halo" game, and I could only think about how retarded the name was. I went to that friends house nearly every day for the next three months until I got my own Xbox.

I was about seven or eight at the time.

They mostly come out at night... mostly...

I had heard some of the hype about Halo before the Xbox and Gamecube were released. When release day finally came around, I opted for the gamecube, due to my love of all their first party games. Well, I was sorely disappointed. Mario Sunshine, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Wind Waker, and the Star Fox game were all disappointments to me. They were decent games, but no where near as impressive as their predecessors, and totally lacked the "euphoric" feeling that you get when playing an awesome new game.

Then one day I get an invite from a friend to come to his Halo LAN at his house. I stayed up all night playing Halo. I called in sick for work the next day, because I was so tired from playing Halo all night. Woke up in the afternoon feeling really guilty about not going to work. The guilt lasted for about 5 minutes. Next thing I knew, I was heading to gamexchange to purachase an Xbox and Halo:CE. Campaign blew my mind. Finally, here was the game I had been looking for. Years later and I'm still in awe of that game. Halo2 and 3 are fun games, but no where near as mind blowing as the first.

HALO:CE I LOVE YOU!!!

I'm a dude playing a dude desguised as another dude. I hate heritics, non-logical thoughts and people who are better than I am. People tell me that they like a lot of games, but I hate them all. Whenever I play a video game, I always go crawling back to Halo 3. Never go full retard!

343 Guilty Spark and The Library actually managed to scare me. No other Halo level could do that. Bungie attempted to frighten us in Halo 2 with levels like Sacrid Icon and Quaratine zone, and again in Halo 3 with Floodgate and Cortana. Yet, Halo: Combat Evolved was the only one that actually pulled off the "scary" effect.
