I don't know why so many people are whining about the rocket launcher on beaver creek, acting like it will be impossible to take out an overshield now... ummm... newsflash...
Before, with the PP/BR combo IN Beaver Creek, people would do that anyway. And they would be a LOT more deadly. Now, you stand a chance against a dude camping on top of the base, because the most he could have is a regular old battle rifle. I got tired of being camped out on Beaver Creek, and it became "BR/PP's camp near the sniper and rocket launcher on top of blue base"... which was absolutely ridiculous. There was nothing you could do after the team had secured those things, and it's retarded that a map becomes about a weapons scramble. I don't care if a dude has a rocket launcher and an overshield, the most he can get is 4 kills before the rockets run out.
Same thing with Colossus. A good sniper could rack up between 15-20 kills with a beam rifle before it ran out of juice, and now, with the human snipes there, that number is reduced to about 9, and that's assuming they get a headshot every time. How can a map become a sniper battle if the sniper will only get around 6 kills each time? And that's assuming the sniper is pretty decent. Big whoop, 6 kills out of 50, I don't think it's that big of a deal. The beam rifle, however, could get a really good sniper almost 3 times as many, so 2 beam rifle possessions would completely change the match- now that factor is gone completely. If you think the dude is going to snipe you, don't run headlong at him... it's easy to hit the sniper from different angles on Colossus... bring some nades and battle rifles (there will be a TON of br's on colossus with the new weaponset) and the sniper is obsolete.
Some people just don't think things through before they start griping.
I love how before the changes, people griping were noobs who couldn't play. And now, anyone can gripe that wants to and it's totally cool. Learn how to play the game, dudes.
