Jump feet first into hell!

1))My first problem was that i got a msg that my halo 2 maps are damaged and cannot be used anymore. The solution to that ( i found it here) was to re-download the maps.
Thing is , i cannot find them anywhere on live :/.

2))When i go into halo 2 i get a message that i cannot connect to live and it asks me to start troubleshooting.

Although when i go back to the dashboard i get connected again.Plus i can connect to xbl while in halo 3

Thanks for your time.

It would have been good to post this in the pinned thread but you've had trouble for a while so I'll stay here with you.

Edit: I just realized something. If you looked in the 360 memory for maps and they weren't there, then they did not download correctly. If 1 or 2 maps are there, delete them and clear the cache again (take a deep breath and start over, one last time).

If you can't go online, how do you know you can't find the maps (or see above).
Is your GT showing up on the H2 menu, where you have to sign-in to live again?
If I remember correctly, you have a 1 year subscription, right?
Can you play other original xbox games live?

Couple of things to try:
Load H2 and stop before you click to sign-in to live. Unplug your modem for 20 secs, then plug it back in and wait 2 mins for it to reaquire the IP address. Then do the same for your router (if you have one). Then restart your computer (if your 360 is part of a network), then restart your 360 and see if you can sign-in (you can just reboot your router and modem and then see if you can sign-in if you want).

Delete unused 360 profiles, especially if you had another GT that worked. This especially works if your GT does not show up on the H2 menu. This is in case the server is confused between an old GT and the new GT.

Delete your GT on the 360 and reaquire. This is a last resort but the server may be the problem and this could be worth a try. Last resort only!
