When I go other sites and I register, sometimes I get a welcome message. Just the typical "Thanks for joining, etc." Why can't we do that? Along with a link to the rules or something like that. Like, when you register, it would just track down the email address and send it to that person.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

It isn't needed, and I expect it would be a lot more work then it's worth. With the amount of members joining daily, that would be a lot of Emails.

Yeah...I never thought about that. Since this place has a lot of people.

A link to the code of conduct? 80% of new members would not read that.

No, not that. The rules for the forums. Like, The Forum FAQ in The Underground.

How about:

Please send all your spare cash and credit card numbers to Sir Fragula at this address...

Hmm?

Replace Sir Fragula with BlackEye319 and it sounds good!

Well, when creating a new account on to Bungie.net, you do get a welcome message.

If I remember correctly, it goes something like this:
Welcome VII Toast
and congratulations on
registering with Bungie.net!

But that isn't broad enough.

Tru7h. I do, however, have an alternative. Perhaps where we have the section that says "Welcome [name]!", when you first join, perhaps for a day or two, there could be a slightly larger message that says something like: "Welcome to Bunie.net [name], thank you for joining!"
