well, are there? I was watching a thing on Youtube, and the guy said that they were ODSTs, but I don't think there are ODSTs in Halo:CE. I know that it was a mod for the PC(obviously, ODSTs can't fight the flood in multi-player). So, I read the comments, and people were saying that they are ODST, they just aren't wearing the armor. So, I ask you, the people of the Halo Forum, Are There ODSTs in Halo:CE??

Can you believe it?

There were ODSTs on Halo in the second novel, but none in the game.

They're were ODSTs on Installation 04, but not in the game. Shame. ODSTs FTW

Bungie didn't make the armor right, they are purposed to be the Marines in heavy armor in the game, the ones that arean't ODST are the ones that look like they don't have armor.

Those who say that there were no ODST's are technically wrong. If you read the novel, The Flood, you will discover that there were a number of ODST's aboard the Pillar of Autumn. Despite the fact that they are not explicitly referred to in the game, Halo: CE, it is possible that the ODST's are the UNSC soldiers wearing the heavy armor with the green ocular pieces.

Nah, I do not think they are....otherwise you would of heard some ODST related banter amongst the troops

Consider that ODSTs were only officially developed around 2005, not during Halo CE's release.

Your mistaken friend, ODST's have always had a very specific type of armor, not simply heavier marine armor. Not to mention that ODST's color is black, not green. So while as far as cannon is concerned they were technical around during the Halo incident, they were not in the origional game.

I did read your post. There is no proof to support either hypothesis. They could either be marines or ODST's.
I agree with you that they are likely just marines, but like I said, we can't tell one way or the other.
