If u have read First Strike then u know that when Fred and his team were with Dr.Halsey she implanted upgrades to every single armor like Fred got sumthing on his glove that improved his Motion Tracker, and Vinh got a new linear accelerator to her shield which doubled its strength. Well I beleive when you start of in Halo 2 youll have these upgrades added to your armor as well.

That would be dumb. It would be so easy.

Nope, probably not. Bungie will stick to the same formula. The upgrades didn't really even play a big part in the books, come to think of it.

Im not sayin Master Cheif will have a major improvement but he'll be stronger than before because of these implants.

I think this aswell, and then later on you get the Mjolner Mark VI armour (it doesn't mention Mark6 armour in the books). Well pointed out mate, good to see some people are paying attention.

Well this is all speculation as to what might be on Halo 2, but down right to it noone yet knows whats gonna be on this game and whats not, but its call how we can all come up with our theories the way we do, lol possibly some of us will be glad to see them on the game.

I'd make a bet that the MC WILL get upgrades as a result of the improved AI in the game, more enemy's, destructible environments, new covie tactics etc.

It would just make sense - why go to that trouble of mentioning such detail in the books.

I think the covie's are going to be ALOT harder in this game, and thank god too - as I am sure that everyone is tired of wooping arse in legendary.

how would it be easy. they are giving the AI more upgrades than they are giving you.

There was always the idea that the components would or might be an option in multiplayer.

Mind you, just about everyone would be going for the linear accelerator as it would make you that much better a combatant. I'd personally love the enhanced range on the motion tracker- see them before they see you. It would make sneaking into enemy bases so damn easy.

Yes these are all things we wished we would have in the game and possibly might have in the game, but like I said before its all gonna be revealed when we get the game which I know every sane person will get when it comes out.

If MC had the same upgrades in the game as he had in the books, everything would appear in slow motion. Master Chief's got a 4 millisecond reaction time with the Mark III - he was even able to dodge a few bullets. Of course, with Cortana, this is increased more due to the fact that she can boost his nueral processing and with the Mark V, his reaction time is increased even further (unspecified as to exactly how much).
In the books, this is described as having the appearance of the world being underwater (Mark III) - which really wouldn't make for a fun game.

Though he does get a speed-boost in the game...though I'm sure everybody knew. Everybody knew that, right?

*grins* Somehow, Bullet-time seems silly when I think of Halo, especially in Multiplayer. Everyone would hit their bullet times at the same time anyways cancelling each other out. I didn't even really like it in the Novels since it made no sense since if you were to increase neural processing things would not slow down, you would just think faster and faster response times.

The "bullet-time" might have something due to the occipital genetic enhancements the Spartans recieved. This is explained as "Produces marked visual perception increase."

Aw, I'm just an obsessed Halo nerd.
My goal is to create an in-depth guide to all things Halo - working on it as we speak. Similar to the 'Star Wars: Incredible Cross-Sections'.

Bullet Time is when you percieve that everything is moving slowly. It's a cinematic trick popularized by the matrix.

An accelerated neurological system (which I might add would be impossible for Cortana to accelerate since it involves a chemical exchance between dendrils and dendrites) wouldn't slow down percieved time, you would think (ie. process) faster, allowing you to make snap decisions.

One significant by-product of this would be a severe Attention Defecit Disorder which would explain why Spartan Morale went down when they were on leave and they only felt alive while on a mission or in training.

The upgrades are meant to make the Spartans' armor Mark VI suits...
It might sharpen the motion sensor, or give a zoom function so you don't need a gun with a scope to zoom... or boost your shields- read First Strike, it's got some info on what upgrades give what...

Doesnt time seem to slow down because the Spartans were not used to thinking so fast after they recieved their implants. To them it seem like theyre thinking at the same speed so everything else seems slower.
