It's really stormy where I am and I just looked outside and saw the weirdest thing, green lightning. I'm dead serious, it was plasma bolt green! Can anyone explain this?

Jay saw that before, too. It came with a loud sound and a tingle. Jay hypothesizes that it's vapourisation of some Nickel-containing alloy, but does not know for sure.

No I wasn't confused, it was as green as your avatar! (maybe just a LITTLE darker... maybe.)

Jay thought it was pretty. The sound was very unique, very difficult to describe... imagine angelic harmonious rapid rythmic explosions.

It is past Jay's bedtime, good night.

Edit: Oh, never mind. What Jay saw was more like cyan, hence hypothesis of Nickel flourescence.

I think that's pretty cool. Even though im scared to death of storms.

STORY TIME!

Okay, it was earlier last year. A big storm came up, my sister was at her track meet, and my family was gone too, so I was home alone. Along comes this storm and I get terrified, so I call up my grandma and she comes over. We go downstairs and turn on the radio (because electricity kept going on and off so we couldn't watch TV) So they say to take shelter immediately so I run grab one of those little wooden preschool size tables push it to a corner and hide under it for 45 MINUTES! My parents get home and my dad comes in with a hail ball the size of a golf ball... it was out there for a half an hour before that and it was warm outside so it probably melted a lot...

Let's just say, I won't be staying home alone again anytime a storm pops up.

Hey, waitaminute! Did Halifax see it from the periphery of his(?) field of view? Humans' eyes are most sensitive to green light by far(of RGB), and resolution is less accurate in the periphery. Hal's perception of green could have just overwhelmed red and blue, especially since it was probably a surprise.

I LOVE STORMS! The more violent the better! I live in Arizona, so if you have ever been there, you'll know that rain is a big deal to us. I was outside once watching a storm come in, and a huge cloud of dust was coming so fast people were hauling ass to get back inside. I went to get the video camera! It kicked ass! My housing area was under constuction at the time, and the wind was soooo strong, it knocked a porta-john over and blew it half way across the street!
