SO whats everyones theory on this I hear that Halo 2 is going to start where First Strike began or its going to start on earth in New Mombasa. Personally Im leaning towards the beginning of First Strike, ample chance to see the cove engineers, possible spaceship wars? But then they would have to go back to reach and get the ForeRunner artifact...but Bungies been working on Halo 2 for a long time maybe they have this many missions rdy for us eh?

i dont know but many think it will start with the E3 2002 cinema with him jumping from a spaceship to a covie spaceship through space. bunige has stated in an interview in some mag (EGM i think) that that will not be the opening cinema.

yea it was just to show the power of the new graphics. nothing in E3' 02 or 03 will prolly be in the game. they just used those demonstrations to show wat they are capable of. New Mombasa will be in there, but they level will be nothing like the one u saw at E3.

If you've read things in the past it says 'halo 2 will start of right at the end of halo' you might even see them in the longsword fighter!

Thay have to make it so that people who havnt read First Strike can still understand what is happening but it has to fit in with the events of First Strike.

But they cant put all of First Strike into the manual. And what about things like Sgt Johnson being infected. If that played a part in the game then some people would not understand it well, or they would have to put a long explenation in the game.

but first strike is such a huge part of the halo 2 story. what could they possibly do so you can understand it(halo 2) without reading the book?

Maybe you will start out in the old Mark V armor and later in the game get the Mark VI.
