5 shots would be balanced enough for me. I will admit 3 shots is a little overdone, but pistol is a weapon of skill. When people get mad because u "outpistol" them you know its a weapon of skill. Everyone loves a great pistol battle unless you are a n00b and just want play shotguns all day. It also is a weapon that SHOWS skill. If someone is close to u with a shotgun and u turn quick and 3 shot them before they kill u, u know u just owned them. It also is a good weapon for taking out a sniper up to a certain distance, without it if bungie doesnt replace it with somethig similar (not sure about battle rifle) then snipers will just be able to camp nonstop, which is not the right feel for halo, maybe for rainbow six, but not halo. I also hope ctf isnt looked over team slayer as others do in the thread. Please god let there be a good amout of smaller multiplayer maps, because nothing but bigger ones will get old.

I have faith in you bungie

I don't think the pistol is overpowered... yeah it only takes three shots but headshots are hard to get. The sniper only takes one and I see no complaining about that.

I would like to see it without the scope though (I mean what kind of pistol has a scope) either that or maybe less rounds in a clip would be nice.

either lose the scope or make it less powerfull.
If one of those two happens i will welcome it into Halo 2.

The Pistol was silly. There's no way a pistol could outperform a rifle. A rifle barrel increases both accuracy and power.

I'm quite pleased with the Battle Rifle that fixes this embarassing ballistics joke.

pistol was way to accurate thats the only problem the damage and everything else was good. a cone of fire system would fix all these problems.

im not a noob at halo but i feal the game turned more into a sharp shooter fest because every one had pistols. the pistol basicaly made all the other weapons obsolete cept the shotgun and sniper.

it would be cool if difrent weapons where usefull in diffrent situations.

A pistol should be accurate because there would be no ongoing recoil as you fire like with a automatic weapon, but it should only be accurate to a certain distance(like a real pistol is) and the rifle should be accurate (in controlled bursts) at a much longer distance than the pistol (which it is not even close to)

Ignore these four words.

Ithink the sniper rifle should be a little less powerful and the pistol should be the same.

your a retard because if the pistol were to be the same you would see everyone N00bing it up like in Halo 1 no one would use any weapon but scoping people out from across the map WITH A PISTOL i mean cmon who can do that in real life. The sniper is ok thats what its built for.

if u are talkin about the snipre rifle, the pistol does not outperform it... 3 shots vs 1...

best thing to do is either make it a 5 shot kill, or take the zoom off and leave it the same.

pistol battles are ok but they get real -blam!- old when its practically the only -blam!- weapon everyone uses. pistols should not be more powerful than a rifle. i have played the halo pc game online and everyone just uses -blam!- pistols. im so -blam!- tired of pistols.
