Subject: Legendary Campaign

Halo 2 is so hard on Legendary with the snipers and all. Eventualy, I showed them.

I tried doing it, and it didn't work out well. I couldn't even get passed the first part on gravemind on legendary.

A soldier should never be honored for something that was expected

i cant beat 1 level on legendary....its like,1 shot of any weapons ploof ur dead instantly.sometimes i go on legendary just to find some skulls...but then agn the skulls i find dont take any skill...

i found the following skulls but take no skill because-[reason is with it]

Blind-theres no fight or anything just 1 grunt then u climb up and get it
Sputnik-theres no fight u just go right around and there it is
unknown skull-this is unknown cuz its on the level "Regret" and when u pick it up,it doesnt say what it is in the corner.this skull takes no skill because u can get this on easy,so its easy to get past
Blackeye-okay,THIS actaully WAS a challange.ive only gotten in once

but ya as far as skulls ive found,2 skulls u can get even on just easy, doesnt have to be legendary.the Blind, and unknown skull

anyway ya i suck at legendary...

That is Assassin, which can be picked up on any difficulty but it only works on Legendary.

Evrybody should finish H2 Legendary at least once. In the old days we all finished because that was the only way to unlock the MP map Foundation.
Woah I forgot about that; I wish Halo 3 had some sort of an unlockable of that magnitude :P

True that. As an update, people have been saying you can unlock Foundation on any difficulty but that is not true. I played Easy and Normal but Foundation did not appear. Maybe it will unlock if play on Heroic but for sure Legendary does it. Keep in mind I am only talking about the original Xbox with no updates.

Actually, to unlock Foundation you have to beat the last level on any difficulty and do all three Banshee tricks during the Banshee part. Weird, I know.

In the first autoupdate you'll also notice that you get Foundation unlock automatically after downloading. Part of that update gave everyone access to the map.

really, yeah thought so, wait let me see something.......ummm...ok, so some research has said that it is either

1: do the acrobatics in the banshee
2: Everytime a tip pops up you must do it
3: Beat the campaign on any difficulty

Im leaning the most towards number 3 but im still getting mixed signals.

You forgot:
Click your heels 3 times and wish your way to Foundation.

If you go into "Settings" and "Profiles" and highlight a profile, it'll tell you what they've completed.

Maybe an update did it or something for the 360. I just replaced my old box with another old box and I noticed Foundation was not there. Some people here do not have a 360 and have said they've never bothered to finish Campaign so I'm wondering if they can get it by going online.

If you still have your old Xbox, why don't you replace the hard drive in the newer one with your old one? It's not too hard, I have completely taken apart an Xbox with no previous knowledge of what the insides looked like and no guide. I'm sure you could find a guide though on the internet.

Sadly, it was the HDD that went out, so I lost all my old saves.

For each profile on the H2 Campaign menu you have to finish the game to have all levels open to that character. You cannot make a new profile (to use it for a skull save) and go play any level you want, unless you:

Load H2
You see the profile list for Campaign so you pick one that's finished the game
Choose coop
Now pick P2's profile but pick 'Creat New Profile'
Then P1 starts a coop game by choosing High Charity from the map menu
Run through and finish High Charity (do not quit and save)
Let the game load Great Journey
Quit and save

Done deal, the new profile you created now has all levels accessible. Takes less than 10 minutes and it works for the old box or the 360.

At Bob: Foundation itself does not matter to me, I can just play through on Legendary if I really wanted to open it. I just became curious about it when I got another box and I couldn't remember exactly what it took to open up Foundation. Now I'm too lazy to go through on Heroic to see if that's what it took years ago when we were first doing it. At this point I know Easy and Normal does not work.

Nope. I finished the game on Normal and did all the rolls. No Foundation appeared on my menu. So, imo, the Banshee thing is bogus.
